Thomas Frank said he understood the frustration of Tottenham’s travelling fans after his side were booed following the goalless draw at his former club Brentford.Frank, who managed the Bees for seven years and 317 games, guiding them to promotion in 2021, was making his first trip back to west London since joining Spurs in the summer. He received a warm reception as he strode out on to the pitch and applauded all four sides of his old ground before kick-off.But that was about as good as it got for the Dane with Spurs not managing a single effort on target until stoppage time and their fans chanting, ‘boring, boring Tottenham’ towards the end of a dour encounter.

00:00The positive is that we are going here against a very good home team that you need to respect
00:11with the results they've done where they're beating Liverpool, United, Newcastle, Villa,
00:15drawing with Chelsea.
00:17And keeping them on that low amount of chances and 7 shots in total, I think that's a very,
00:25very strong defensive performance.
00:28I think the amount of unforced errors is the biggest negative, I would say.
00:32I think it seems like they were not too satisfied and it's fair.
00:37I think when we don't hit a top performance overall, but I think it's double-sided
00:45because I think what we need to understand is the acknowledgement of the defensive side of the game,
00:50which we've done excellent today against a team that just scored 3 against Liverpool,
00:543 against Madrid, so on and so on.
00:57But of course the offensive part needs to be better.
00:59There's no two ways about that.
