00:00and that's where my suspicion kicked in and so i literally was in my hotel room and was like
00:05uh i don't feel right hi i'm asmina with narsity how are you both doing today hey good nice to
00:12meet you um lisa i'm going to start with you first off congratulations on the baby news i know it
00:18happened a while ago for you but for me it just happened so you know when like nick lachey mentioned
00:24you were pregnant like my my jaw dropped because that this has never happened on the show before
00:30well tell me you know what happened did you have any suspicions before you found out you know when
00:37did you find out how did that happen i had no suspicions prior to coming on to the show um
00:42because obviously our lady days were supposed to be actually the first week while filming um clearly
00:50minds did not come um and that's where my suspicion kicked in and so i literally was in my hotel room
00:56and was like uh i don't feel right you know i don't feel like i'm acting normal i feel overly emotional
01:03about things so i took a pregnancy test and there it is yeah and when you told brian obviously a bit of
01:12shock there how has your relationship been affected by you know the baby and the show and just the overall
01:18experience um i will say like initially after leaving the show um we were in like a weird place
01:26obviously it took a lot of work um but that's it it took the work you know two people who were
01:32intentionally intentional about working on the relationship and we were that and so now we are in a
01:37really great space and roxanne moving on to you going into the proposal you said yourself that you weren't
01:44sure what you were going to say you would you know see in that moment what made you because you were very
01:48adamant that you weren't ready to get married to antonio from the start so what made you say yes
01:54my gut i always go with my gut i think through the whole season what i did is go with my gut with
02:00everything with alex with our um fallout through the season to the moment i said yes to antonio
02:08i feel like a woman's gut is the most important thing you should listen to and i was like i'm not
02:14going to make a decision until i see him and he asked and whatever i feel in my stomach is what
02:18i'm going to go with because i did not know and for this is a question for both of you how has going
02:24on the ultimatum sort of maybe affected or helped you understand what you're looking for in a partner
02:31and just what you need yourself need as well um i think for me going on here it uh it just made me
02:37more aware of what i wanted for sure um what things i'm willing to deal with and not willing
02:44to deal with in regards to my partner um and that has helped us because before we never verbalized
02:50like flat out like what we like don't like versus you know after the show it's like now we
02:57are verbalizing like i don't like this i don't like this and that helps your relationship move so much
03:03smoother um and i kind of took that for myself too like okay for myself what do i want from for
03:10myself out of life and you know um having that come to realization even after the show so that's
03:17ways that it has helped us real quick i was just gonna say when you're looking for a partner for me it
03:23was take out everything you think should be with a partner and just go with what your heart is saying
03:29in your mind it goes back to the gut you know i had for me it was take out the checklist and with
03:35antonio it was he is all these things that i need and want and i thought alex were would have maybe
03:42been all those things truly i mean i was you probably saw i was super excited to be with the dude
03:48i was and sometimes you just got to forget about everyone else's feelings and what everyone else
03:54wants for you just go with what you want for yourself that's it brian i'm gonna start with you
04:00so i want to go back to that conversation that you were having with lisa you know walk me through
04:06that was the first time you found out actually on camera you know what was going through your mind
04:10when you found out yeah that was truly the first time that i found out as you can see my face it
04:16it was much of a surprise to me right um i didn't know if she was it was a joke or not but you know
04:21like i said i knew she wouldn't play around like that um but you know immediately within the first few
04:27seconds i had to make the decision on whether or not you know this is something that i was willing to
04:34accept and move forward with but i knew you know instantly that she is someone that if anyone that i would
04:40want to um kind of bring a child into this world with um and i think you know ultimately we had to make
04:46that decision and that was the one that was best for us and you mentioned that you know a baby would
04:51obviously complicate things you had just gone through a lot you know how did the baby impact
04:56your relationship and just overall you know um everything yeah i think um the thought of it
05:05was like conflicting right because it's like there's no way we just went through this whole
05:12experience of the time that we did and there's been you know ups and downs right as you can see
05:17and and thinking that it's going to be easier moving forward i think um it was actually the opposite well
05:24not the opposite of easy it was actually the opposite of what i thought you know afterwards things got
05:29easier because it was a lot easier because we kind of looked at it from a clear mind right being out of
05:34the experience at this time to say that like you know all right we're going to focus on the baby but
05:39we're going to also focus on fixing our fixing ourselves working on our communication and just working
05:45on that that trust within each other and it's worked out it's been going well Antonio moving to you and
05:52your experience on the show you know going back to having to make that choice on who to choose for the trial
05:59marriage um you know obviously that's a tense situation i can only imagine how uncomfortable it
06:04is hearing your partner talk about how amazing someone else is what was going through your mind
06:09and what was that experience like having roxanne you know choose alex i knew she was going to pick
06:15them all along i just knew it i knew what she was looking for and he was pretty much like the polar
06:22opposite of where i was at at that point in my life you know successful business owner i mean more
06:27than once he'd already sold one of his own businesses and he was doing his own thing again
06:32and he had this you know lifetime of experience that that she really related with and um and it was the
06:38i was trying to you know gain that sort of skill set um as we got onto the show and throughout the show and
06:48since after the show so um i was pretty scared i was pretty dang scared when um when i saw that she had
06:56chosen officially and it all became real and then going to the proposal you seemed somewhat surprised
07:02when when she said yes what was going through your mind then and how has the whole experience impacted
07:08your relationship moving forward yeah i mean it's it's like i can almost really only liken it to like
07:15when a cop's driving behind you you may not be doing anything wrong and you know what the outcome is
07:19going to be but in that moment you're like oh crap like what's gonna happen and um i think that's kind
07:25of what was splayed all over my face and not to mention that the first words out of her mouth after
07:29i'd said will you marry me where uh i just want you to be happy so like i don't know what that meant
07:35like especially the moment i was like uh so you're saying without you i'm gonna be happy or what are you
07:40saying so um so it was nerve-wracking for sure um since she has said yes you know and even before this
07:48before all of this and i've never been more sure that that roxanne is the person that i was supposed
07:52to spend the rest of my life with and um and that has since just been confirmed tenfold so life is good
07:59um i've moved so far in the direction that i've been wanting to move in i've become a business owner um
08:06things are going really well and and i just the future is something i've never been more excited
08:10for well congratulations on the business and on the engagement and just my final question is you
08:17know any regrets from the ultimatum going on the show you know having that ultimatum either giving it
08:22or receiving it what are your thoughts on that no regrets i mean like the term i think uh james and i
08:30coined was high stakes therapy um and i learned a lot about myself it forced me to really hold myself
08:37much more accountable um so i think i'm a better person for it i think my relationship is stronger
08:43for it and uh i don't regret a thing yeah likewise i would say the same um definitely on the accountability
08:49part i definitely learned a lot about myself like really quickly too um and kind of had to kind of
08:55make that that decision of whether or not i was going to continue being stubborn within my own right or
08:59like i was gonna um be the person for for elisa well thank you so much for taking the time to speak
