00:00What if space didn't feel like space?
00:02Russia just revealed a space station that spins to create gravity.
00:06Russia's state-owned space company, Energia, has designed a rotating space station
00:10that simulates gravity, yes, gravity, in space.
00:14This futuristic station spins its residential modules five times a minute.
00:18Why? To generate centrifugal force that makes astronauts feel like they're standing on solid ground.
00:24Think of it like a space version of a spinning amusement ride.
00:28It's all to solve a major issue. Zero gravity weakens bones, muscles, even eyesight.
00:33Long missions to the Moon or Mars are nearly impossible unless this is fixed.
00:37The rotating design helps astronauts stay healthier by mimicking Earth's gravity.
00:42Even with the massive costs, Russia is moving ahead and has patented the structure.
00:47It will likely be built in space, piece by piece, through multiple launches.
00:51Experts say this tech could be key to long-term missions, and maybe even space tourism.
00:56From survival in deep space to future space hotels.
01:00Artificial gravity might be the game-changer humanity needs to truly live beyond Earth.
01:05And Russia just made a bold move in that direction.
01:08I think there's a huge difference.
01:09You can find a balance between them, and everything.
01:13I think that's exactly what we have when this is a huge point.
01:18It's very huge.
01:20It's very huge.
01:22It's like that.
01:23It's very huge.
01:25I thought we were 1 over 7.
01:26It's not that...
01:27It's very huge.
01:28It's a huge huge.
01:29It's very huge.
01:30It's very huge.
