00:00.
02:30Hello, Dr. How are you?
02:45Hello, everybody.
02:46This is so great.
02:47And before we begin, however, I want to just pay my respects to the people, unfortunately.
02:56Two are no longer with us.
02:58Brown University, nine injured.
03:00And two are looking down on us right now from heaven.
03:04And likewise in Australia, as you know, that was a terrible attack.
03:10Eleven dead, 29 badly wounded.
03:14And that was an anti-Semitic attack, obviously.
03:17And it's – I just want to pay my respects to everybody.
03:21I must say in Syria also.
03:24We had an attack in Syria.
03:27And we had three great patriots terminated by bad people and not the Syrian government.
03:36It was ISIS.
03:37Syrian government fought by our side.
03:39The new president fought by our side.
03:41But I just want to pay my respects to the families.
03:46We also had three injured, but two of them are already out of the hospital.
03:51And one's going to be okay.
03:53But we lost three, so it was a rough – it was a rough day.
03:57But to Australia and the Prime Minister, to everybody that we know so well, we get along
04:04with so well, we have a great relationship.
04:07That's a terrible situation going on over there.
04:11Think of that.
04:12And Brown University, great school.
04:15Great – really, one of the greatest schools anywhere in the world.
04:21Things can happen.
04:22So to the nine injured, get well fast.
04:25And to the families of those two that are no longer with us, I pay my deepest regards
04:31and respects from the United States of America.
04:35Thank you very much.
04:36It's a very important thing to say.
04:38And we mean it.
04:41I can tell you in Syria, there will be a lot of damage done to the people that did it.
04:48They got the person – the individual person, but there will be big damage done.
04:53And the other – supposedly, they call them a person of interest, so I'll keep it along
04:58those lines so we don't get ourselves in any trouble.
05:02But they have a person of interest at Brown.
05:05And in Australia, you probably read they've – it's been – it's been a very, very brave
05:11person, actually, who went and attacked frontally one of the shooters and saved a lot of lives.
05:18So very brave person who's right now in the hospital.
05:22Pretty seriously wounded.
05:24So I – great respect to that man that did that.
05:29But we're here for a different reason.
05:31We're here to celebrate Christmas and to celebrate – and I think today we can very
05:36say loudly we celebrate Hanukkah, because that was such a horrible attack.
05:42That was a purely anti-Semitic attack.
05:46And to really celebrate the new year, we have an amazing couple of achievements.
05:52We've taken in more investment money than any country has ever taken in by four times.
05:57There's never been anything like it, and I'd like to say that was because of the November
06:045th election, but – and it was to an extent, because without the November 5th election,
06:10you would have had a president that didn't have the courage to use tariffs the way they
06:13should be used.
06:14And because of the tariffs, we've taken in more than 18 – think of this – $18 trillion.
06:20There's never been anything like it.
06:21As an example, the previous administration, sleepy Joe Biden, took in last year's –
06:27less than $1 trillion in four years, we took in more than $18 trillion in 10 months.
06:34I'd say that's pretty good, right?
06:36I'd say that's pretty good.
06:38And if you go back – if you go back into history, there's never been a country that's
06:42taken in more than $3 trillion.
06:44And we have over 18 – that's, again, because they don't want to pay tariffs.
06:49So in order not to pay tariffs, they come in and they build their plant in the United States.
06:53It's pretty simple.
06:55And it's been pretty amazing, actually.
06:58We have some very special people here.
07:01And because I believe in families so strongly, I think I should introduce – we have Don.
07:10We have his children.
07:12We have Vanessa, her children.
07:15Kai, Tristan, Spencer, Chloe.
07:17Where is – you know, Kai is a great golfer.
07:20Does anyone have – oh, there she is.
07:22Hi, Kai.
07:23Put your hand up, Kai.
07:24Can you beat – can you beat your grandpa in golf?
07:26Can Kai beat her grandpa in golf?
07:27I don't know.
07:28But she's great.
07:29Chloe is going to be amazing.
07:30And all of them – they're great athletes.
07:31They're really great.
07:32So I just want to welcome Don, and I want to welcome Vanessa.
07:37And I want to welcome the kids.
07:39And Bettina, who's with Don, is so – such a fantastic person.
07:43Where's Bettina?
07:44She's a great athlete, too.
07:45She said, where are you?
07:46You're just going to be amazing.
07:47I think Kai beat her grandpa in golf.
07:48I don't know.
07:49But she's great.
07:50Chloe is going to be amazing.
07:51And all of them – they're great athletes.
07:52They're really great.
07:53So I just want to welcome Don, and I want to welcome Vanessa.
07:55And I want to welcome the kids.
07:57And Bettina, who's with Don, is so – such a fantastic person.
07:59Where's Bettina?
08:00She said, where are you?
08:02You – I hear a really good athlete.
08:05So that's very nice.
08:06But – so I just – had to do that.
08:07But then I'm going to tell you about some other people that are here, because it's amazing.
08:11We have a man who just won the U.S. Open in golf.
08:15He hits a long ball – slightly longer than me.
08:21I used to think I hit a long ball until I played with him.
08:25But everybody feels that way, even the touring pros.
08:27He's the longest hitter in golf.
08:28He's the longest hitter, much more importantly.
08:30He putts great.
08:31He chips great.
08:32He hits the ball dead straight.
08:34It's tough.
08:35When you're the longest, straightest hitter that putts the best and chips the best,
08:40typically you're going to do quite well.
08:42And he does quite well.
08:43He just signed a contract for like $200 million for playing golf.
08:48You're paying hundreds of millions of dollars.
08:51And he's a fantastic person.
08:53You know what he's got, though, better than all of his game?
08:56The head.
08:57He's got – the head is better than anything.
09:00He knows how to win.
09:01Where's Bryson DeChambeau?
09:02Is he here?
09:03Bryson.
09:04Come up here, Bryson.
09:05Come on.
09:06Come on, Bryson.
09:07I want to ask, why is he longer?
09:11Look at him.
09:12Now, if you rip off the jacket, you'll see the muscles are serious.
09:15But we don't have to rip off jackets.
09:18Come on up here.
09:19Say hello.
09:20Hi, Bryson.
09:21Great to see you, Mr. President.
09:22The current U.S. Open champion.
09:25My goodness.
09:27Well, I did not know I was going to be coming up here today.
09:31But I've got to say thank you.
09:33And what the President has done in this term has been incredible, right?
09:38It's the greatest economy that we've ever had.
09:40And just to be serving on the President's Council of Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition
09:44has been such an honor.
09:45And the First Lady looks so beautiful, by the way.
09:48And I'll say cheers to the greatest economy that we've had in a long, long time.
09:56And Merry Christmas to everybody.
10:00You kids look awesome down there.
10:03I think that when I was a kid, I never imagined that I'd even be up here.
10:09How is this even possible?
10:11So, it's been a beautiful moment.
10:13I'm going to cry, actually, because I don't even know why I'm up here speaking.
10:17He hasn't cried in a long time.
10:19No, no.
10:20Not since the...
10:21He's not a big crier.
10:22Not since the U.S. Open.
10:23He makes other people cry.
10:25I've got to tell you, what everybody's doing here is incredible.
10:29What he's doing here is incredible for the country.
10:30And I've got to thank the President of the United States.
10:32He is such an amazing human being.
10:36More importantly, as I've gotten to know him over the past decade now, almost.
10:41What he's done, not just for our country, but just for every single person that he goes
10:45and interacts with is absolutely incredible.
10:48I can't tell you how many times I've been around him.
10:51And him just look up to...
10:52Or look over to a kid and be like, how are you doing?
10:55You're doing so great.
10:56Love you.
10:57Keep going forward.
10:58Keep growing in life.
10:59It's unbelievable what he does for families and for kids.
11:02And for that, I say thank you and Merry Christmas to you guys.
11:05It's so amazing.
11:06How is my golf game?
11:08His golf game, look, his iron play is actually probably better than mine right now.
11:13I'll tell you that right now.
11:15I can hit it a little farther, but...
11:17A slightly longer.
11:18Just a little bit.
11:19But his putting has gotten really good lately.
11:21I played with Gary Player and Masa-san, of which he made so many putts when we played
11:28together for Gary's 90th.
11:30But anyway, he's a great golfer, better human being, and you definitely...
11:34We're all so lucky to have him as the President of the United States.
11:37So, thank you guys.
11:38Thank you very much.
11:40So, Bryson coming up the 18th fair, we needed a par to win the U.S. Open.
11:47He pulled his drive, which is a little bit unlike him, and he had a horrible lie.
11:51He was in a bush.
11:53This is not good, because it looked like it was going to be a routine, but it's hard to finish.
11:58You know, winning is not easy, and especially with golf.
12:02So, he pulled his drive a little bit, hit it about 360, but he pulled it.
12:06And he was in a bush.
12:08He chopped it out.
12:09It was actually an amazing shot.
12:11Many of the golfers...
12:12Who have...
12:13Who saw this whole thing?
12:14Did...
12:15Yes, right?
12:16Actually, all my friends are saying I saw it.
12:18He chopped it out of the bush, moved it forward 100 yards into a sand trap.
12:23So, now he's 60 yards away.
12:25If you know anything about golf, that's the worst shot you can have.
12:29In fact, the pros don't even practice it, because there's no way to figure it out.
12:33So, he has 60 yards.
12:34What was it?
12:3554 yards, to be exact, I think.
12:3754...
12:38Like, about that.
12:3954 yards.
12:40That's the worst thing that can happen.
12:42Behind the green is the clubhouse.
12:45If you go there, you have a two-stroke penalty.
12:47You lose the U.S. Open.
12:48In front of the green is the worst bushes you've ever seen.
12:52So, he has to either put it on the green, or...
12:55He's dead.
12:56So, his caddy, who was a great caddy, wanted him to play way left, and take two long putts,
13:03and get into a playoff.
13:05Bryson said, no, we gotta go for the win.
13:07He takes, like, an open-faced nine iron or wedge, which normally you wouldn't use.
13:13It's a very hard shot.
13:15And he hits it four feet from the hole.
13:19Now, for a golfer, they would say, that's not so good, because they have to sink a four-footer.
13:26Because they can't sink four-footers.
13:28That guy can sink four-footers.
13:30So, he still had a four-foot putt that broke a few inches to the right, which is considered
13:35harder than breaking to the left.
13:37He stood over the ball, hit it, went into the hole, he wins the U.S. Open.
13:41So, that's called a champion's heart.
13:43So, it's great to have you.
13:44You're a great champion.
13:45We won a lot of golf, U.S. amateur, a lot of tournaments.
13:50And, you know, you're just the beginning of your great...
13:53You know, your age is where they really become great.
13:5631, 32 years old.
13:57That's when, if you look statistically, they do the best from 31, 32 to 40.
14:04Except for Vijay.
14:05Vijay won all of his tournaments from 40 to 50.
14:08Vijay is the one unique player, right?
14:10He became great at 40.
14:12But you're at the exact perfect age, so great.
14:15You're a great champion.
14:17It's great that you're here.
14:18Maybe I'll take a tripping lesson from him.
14:21He's a good champion.
14:23So, I also want to thank Casey.
14:26I want to thank you for being here.
14:27James Blair, I want to thank you.
14:29Where's James?
14:30What a job he's done.
14:31Do you have your beautiful family, James?
14:33Yes, sir.
14:34This guy is so good.
14:35You know, I wasn't sure.
14:37He was very quiet.
14:38And I kept hearing, he's very quiet.
14:40But I'd hear from other people, he's a total political genius.
14:43But I didn't see it because he was always — I don't know what it was.
14:46Maybe he was intimidated by the office of the President.
14:49But I heard he was like this brilliant guy, I'm telling you, sir.
14:52And then they gave him a very high position and say, he's so quiet.
14:56They said, he's not quiet, sir.
14:58Maybe he's quiet around you.
14:59He's not quiet.
15:00And that was two years ago.
15:02And you know what?
15:03He's not quiet.
15:04He's incredible.
15:05The job you've done.
15:06Thank you, James.
15:07Great.
15:08Is the other James there?
15:09Because you have two Jameses.
15:10They're both great.
15:11So, I used to call him Big James and Little James.
15:15But the problem is, he's not little at all.
15:20And I don't think people like being called Little James.
15:23But I meant it very affectionately.
15:25But Big James is like six, seven, and he weighs like 320.
15:29So, he's big compared to almost anybody.
15:31So, then I said, okay, I'll change it.
15:34I'll call him Big James, and I'll call him Brilliant James.
15:38But that's a real slight on Big James now.
15:41So, I just keep calling him James, whoever comes.
15:44But you've done a great job, and I appreciate it.
15:46I know you're working on that situation for appointments.
15:49And that'll be great.
15:50Pull that off.
15:51Naomi, thank you very much from Bedminster.
15:54Naomi is here.
15:55She does a fantastic job.
15:57And I want to thank you.
15:58I want to thank Erin Elmore.
16:01Is Erin here?
16:02Erin, come here, Erin.
16:04She's marrying the most powerful man in the administration.
16:08She's getting married to the great Dan Scavino.
16:11Is Dan here, or is he working?
16:12He's too big.
16:13He's too big.
16:14Come on up here, Erin.
16:15You think Dan has bad taste?
16:17You won't believe this.
16:18Mickey Gallagher, another great golfer, is here.
16:20He's the head pro at Bedminster, and he's — come on up here, Erin.
16:24You know the First Lady?
16:25How about you?
16:26How about you?
16:27Want to say a couple of words?
16:29Sure.
16:30Because she's a great hostess.
16:31She does — she hosts professionally everything, and she's the best.
16:36But now she's probably going to — let's see.
16:38Is she going to choke?
16:39No.
16:40Is she going to be the opposite of Bryson?
16:42Can I say a couple?
16:43Great deal, great deal.
16:44Thank you, Mr. President and First Lady, and to everyone, Merry Christmas.
16:51Thank you so much for having me.
16:52It's an absolute honor.
16:53I got to fly here today with Vanessa and all of the kids, and you just have such a wonderful
16:58family.
16:59Everyone is amazing and polite and smart and athletic and talented.
17:04So you guys have done a truly amazing job, and it's a testament to your family.
17:07And I think this party is really special because my son is here, my sister is here, and the
17:12holidays and Christmas are truly about family.
17:14And thank God that we have a President and a First Lady who puts our families first, who
17:19puts America first.
17:20And that's why we get to have this special, amazing, beautiful Christmas season the way that
17:25it is.
17:26And I thank God every day that President Trump won November 5th of last year.
17:31And I think we keep making America great again for all of these people here today, our children,
17:37our families.
17:38So thank you so much for having me.
17:40And thank you, President and First Lady.
17:43Great.
17:44Now you know what I'm talking about.
17:45You did a good job.
17:46I don't know.
17:47Scavino's great, but without that big power, do you think that she would have been interested
17:52in it?
17:53James, I don't know.
17:54I think the power is the thing that did it, right?
17:56And it's charming.
17:57He's a great guy.
17:58You got a great guy.
17:59The best.
18:00And he looks great these days.
18:01He's a handsome guy, right?
18:02Look at her.
18:03She's defending him.
18:06Aaron, thank you very much.
18:07Thank you, darling.
18:08Great job.
18:09I appreciate it.
18:11So, Mickey Gallagher.
18:12Where's Mickey?
18:13Mickey?
18:14From one of the...
18:16Now, he's a great player, too.
18:18Probably, Mickey would agree that he's not quite as good as Bryson.
18:22He's the head pro at Bedminster, one of the most respected professionals, the most, like
18:28in New Jersey.
18:29Again, he's like a king.
18:30And he's a really good golfer.
18:32But we've given up on the tour stuff, right, Mickey?
18:35We've given up.
18:36We gave up.
18:37Well, when you see somebody who's 100 yards longer, you say, let's go.
18:43Let's go back to hiring golf pros all over the place, right?
18:47Thank you, Mickey, for being here.
18:48And he is a great golfer.
18:50A really terrific lawyer.
18:51He's been with me for a long time.
18:53I think he's got his family with him, and his family's great.
18:56Alan Garten.
18:57Where's Alan?
18:58Alan, nice to see you, Alan.
19:01Boy, are we winning cases or losing?
19:03I think we're winning.
19:04I guess we're winning, because here we are, right?
19:07That's good.
19:08Well, you've done a great job.
19:09And look at that beautiful baby, huh?
19:11Boy, he's not a baby anymore, right?
19:13Good.
19:14Good.
19:15Thank you, Alan.
19:16Is your wife here, who we happened to meet on the job?
19:21He met on the job?
19:23You know, we're not supposed to do that stuff, but they got along very well.
19:28I said, the hell with it.
19:30We have very flexible rules in the Trump Organization.
19:33I said, you know, those two seem to be two.
19:35She's a great lawyer.
19:36I don't know.
19:37She may be a better lawyer than you, Alan.
19:39I hate to tell you.
19:40But I noticed they came into my office, and they were extraordinarily friendly.
19:43You know?
19:44Like, they'd walk in two separate lawyers.
19:47And it's strange when they walk into my office and they're holding hands.
19:50You know?
19:51I said, what the hell's going on over here, right?
19:54So, Alan, I just want to thank you for doing a great job.
19:57Both of you for doing a great job.
19:59And congratulations on the family and everything.
20:01A man who's really fantastic.
20:04He started off as a speech — a speechwriter.
20:07And my problem is, I didn't stick to his speech that much.
20:11But whenever I stuck to his speech, I would never get myself into trouble.
20:15But he's one of the greatest speechwriters in the world.
20:19And together with his partner, Ross, they form a team that — you know, they've been with me right from the beginning.
20:25Vince, are you here, Vince?
20:26Oh, there you are, Vince.
20:28It's amazing the way you blend it in.
20:30He wants to blend in.
20:32And now he's doing something, I think, that's going to be the most exciting job of all.
20:36And Ross is doing really well.
20:39They split up probably the first time — you know, they've always been a team.
20:43They wrote — they love each other.
20:45They got along so well for so many years.
20:47And I said, you know, we have a couple of jobs — Vince is unbelievable on policy.
20:53And we have a policy thing that's going to be unbelievable happening.
20:58Should I announce it or should I keep it quiet?
21:00No, no.
21:01I put Vince in charge of the triumphal arc.
21:04We're building an arc like the Arc to Triumph.
21:06And we're building it by the Arlington Bridge, the Arlington Cemetery, opposite the Lincoln Memorial.
21:15You could say Jefferson, Washington, everything, because they're all right there.
21:19And it's something that is so special.
21:23It will be like the one in — in Paris.
21:26But to be honest with you, it blows it away.
21:28Blows it away in every way.
21:30And Vince came in one day and his eyes were teeming.
21:34I mean, he couldn't believe how beautiful it was.
21:38He saw it and he wanted to do that.
21:40That's your primary thing.
21:41There is nothing that can compete with that.
21:43It's the only city in the world that's of great importance that doesn't have a triumphal arc.
21:49You know what that is.
21:51And this one is going to blow them all away.
21:53The one that people know mostly is the Arc de Triumph in Paris, France.
21:58And we're going to top it by, I think, a lot.
22:02The only thing they have is history.
22:04You know, 1860 is something — I always say, the one thing you can't compete with.
22:08But eventually, we'll have that history, too.
22:10But we're going to have something that — the likes of which has never been done before.
22:16And it's been waiting for 200 years, literally.
22:20I think the Civil War got in the way of it.
22:23You know, the opening — they actually have the four — they have four columns —
22:27four small columns with the eagles on top.
22:30And they have the circle, you know, before — on the other side from the Lincoln.
22:34And it's — it's so unbelievable.
22:37It's so unbelievable.
22:38It's been waiting for hundreds of years.
22:41And they were going to build on it a couple of times.
22:44It never happened.
22:45But it's a circle that's been waiting to have the Arc built on it.
22:50And I think we're very far along.
22:52I think you might want to show it to the National Trust, if you'd like.
22:56You might want to show it to a couple of people.
22:58Take a look at it.
22:59Because I've always gotten really along well with the National Trust.
23:02So take a look and show it to them.
23:04And so maybe they give you some good ideas, too.
23:06Okay?
23:07But I'm proud of you.
23:08And I'm really especially proud of the job you've done.
23:10From day one, he and his partner, Ross, have been writing really great speeches.
23:16And I just wish I stuck with him a little bit more often.
23:20But we — we go on and off those speeches, right?
23:23And I think, ultimately, that's the best combination, right?
23:26So one of the greatest in the world.
23:28The two of those guys, the greatest.
23:30Then we have a man who — to me, this is the most interesting story.
23:34Boy, do you look like Ivanka.
23:35Has anyone ever told you that?
23:37I'm looking — I'm saying, is that Ivanka?
23:40Could you just turn around for the camera?
23:42Does she look — does she look like Ivanka?
23:45It's the most unbelievable thing.
23:47So I wouldn't — I didn't want to take a chance.
23:50I say, is that Ivanka?
23:51You look just like Ivanka, which is a great compliment, actually.
23:56So we have a doctor in the White House named Dr. James Jones.
24:00Can I tell the story?
24:01Please, sir.
24:02And he's a great doctor, highly respected by so many people.
24:06He's helped so many people.
24:07I've had people come to the White House and they were so sick.
24:10I've had people come to the White House along with your partner.
24:13You got to — well, you have a lot of partners.
24:15You have Walter Reed Medical Center, which I think is the best in the world.
24:18They've seen things that nobody wants to see, right?
24:21They have — doctors have told me, if you can get out of here, you've seen it all.
24:27And that's why they produce some of the best doctors in the world.
24:30Well, Dr. James Jones is a great doctor.
24:34He was the White House doctor during the Obama administration
24:38and during the Trump administration.
24:41And I guess during a little bit of — maybe — no?
24:46Those two?
24:47Because we had — we had somebody else named Doc Ronnie
24:50who actually got a glimpse of Obama in there, too.
24:52Is that Doc Ronnie back there? No?
24:54Doc Ronnie did all three.
24:57And he said Trump is in the best health of all.
25:00He had — he had Bush.
25:02He had Obama.
25:03He had Trump.
25:04He — he didn't have Biden.
25:06He didn't have Biden.
25:07But Dr. James went on a trip to Peru with the two Obama girls.
25:16They wanted to go hiking in — in Peru.
25:21Was it Peru?
25:22In Peru.
25:24And it's known for being a rather rough place in terms of physical creatures crawling around.
25:32Twenty-eight thousand people die a year from a snake bite — a certain snake.
25:38It's a viper, right?
25:40It's said to be the most poisonous snake in the world.
25:43And he made a comment — and somebody else told him — that's very dangerous in that
25:48area to go hiking.
25:49And the guide said, oh, don't worry, we never see that snake.
25:53It's over-exaggerated, even though twenty-seven, twenty-eight thousand people a year die.
25:59That's not over-exaggerated.
26:01Because when they lift the rice and the this and the that out of the water, they get hit.
26:05And if you get hit, it's automatic death.
26:08So, he goes out and he's — in your last day, right?
26:12You're getting ready to come back.
26:13For two weeks, they're traipsing around in Peru.
26:16And he's got to follow them because he's the White House doctor.
26:19And he's with the two young ladies who, I'll bet, are nice.
26:22You actually said they were very nice young ladies, too.
26:25I'll bet they are.
26:26And final day, final two hours, he gets hit by a viper.
26:33Right?
26:34This is a terrible Christmas story, but it's a hell of a story because I'll tell you what happened.
26:39He gets hit with a viper and he was — the viper missed him.
26:45It hit his jacket — a very thick jacket — and spread all of the venom all over the place.
26:52It went all over.
26:53But that wasn't good enough for the viper.
26:55The viper hit him a second time.
26:57And this time, it got him on the arm.
26:59And so, I think probably the only reason you made it, even though making it took him two years to make it.
27:06But they read him the last rites.
27:09He was gone on three different occasions.
27:11They thought he was dead.
27:13And, you know, it takes only a minute.
27:17And because of Doc Ronnie Jackson, he knew — they called in, and he was at the White House — and he knew from the description and the location what kind of a snake it was.
27:31And they had the venom just in case.
27:34But the venom rarely works.
27:36It's so powerful this day.
27:37It's said to be the most poised.
27:39That — the black mamba, the brown mamba, and the viper from Peru.
27:44You do not want to play games, okay?
27:47And I'm telling this story because my son Don — this is a hell of a — you heard — did you hear this story?
27:52And so, he's — he's being read his rites and his — this is — they — they thought he was dead three times — three different times.
28:05They carried him out, feeding him the antivenom.
28:09And over a period of months, he was unconscious for a long time — many weeks.
28:16And he made it.
28:18I asked him, how are you doing today?
28:21He said, is it perfect?
28:23Look how quiet everybody is.
28:24You know?
28:25You know, it's funny.
28:26When you talk about snakes and things like that, that people find it interesting.
28:32Would anybody like to go and go to Peru and walk around the forest with — he says, no, thank you.
28:39No, thank you.
28:40I'll say, no, thank you.
28:41But this was a real — did they ever find a snake, by the way?
28:45They did.
28:46Oh, they did find it?
28:47What did they do?
28:48They took care of it.
28:50You know, normally — normally, the environmentalists and the animal rights people,
28:55would say, oh, leave it alone.
28:57It's such a wonderful — okay?
28:59Usually they say, leave it alone.
29:00It's such a wonderful — leave the sharks alone.
29:02Don't touch the sharks.
29:03They're wonderful.
29:04I love the sharks.
29:05Right?
29:06I don't feel that way, but that's okay.
29:08Just lost about one vote.
29:10That's all.
29:11But — so he — he got better.
29:13And here's the story — the purpose of this story is that he wrote a book — nine years
29:19ago, would you say?
29:20This was nine years ago?
29:21Three years.
29:22The book is three years old.
29:23And it was okay.
29:24It sold about two copies.
29:26But it had a hell of a cover.
29:29And it has a cover of the White House and this vicious snake.
29:34And it is vicious.
29:35Teeth like this — those fangs.
29:38These are not fangs you want — you know, sucking on your arm, right?
29:42As you had.
29:43By the way, what did you do?
29:44When that snake was on your arm?
29:46You tried to get it off your arm, I guess, naturally.
29:49What was happening?
29:50I rolled off, sir.
29:51I don't remember —
29:52You mean it — it hit you that hard that it knocked you out immediately.
29:56It's unbelievable.
29:57So, he wrote a book three years ago.
30:01And the book was fine.
30:02You know, it's like every other book.
30:04It didn't sell too much, but it was interesting.
30:06But I heard the story — and I'm fascinated by stories of wildlife.
30:09Because I have a theory.
30:11Wildlife always wins.
30:13That's what my theory is.
30:15We can play games, you know.
30:17I'm saying this for my son, by the way.
30:19Because I have a son who would rather be in the jungle than any place on Earth.
30:23When I kick the bucket someday, he'll be — I figure — Bettina, I think he'll be here for about two days.
30:30He'll go and pay his respects and we'll say, where's Don?
30:34He'd rather be in some jungle or some — and he's a really good hunter.
30:39But remember this — wildlife always wins, unfortunately, in this case.
30:45So, what happened — Dr. Jones wrote a book.
30:49And the book was amazing.
30:51I said, I want to get that book.
30:53And I got it.
30:54And the cover is unbelievable.
30:56You'll see it on Truth Social.
30:58It's on Truth Social.
30:59I put out a statement that this book is great.
31:01The story is incredible.
31:03It took him, like, two years to recover.
31:06And I think he's — he said he's — he's lost something, but not up here.
31:12I don't care if you've lost something physically, but as long as the head is good.
31:16Did you lose anything from the brain?
31:18Yes, sir.
31:19Good.
31:20Okay.
31:21Then that's all I care about.
31:22I don't give a damn about the use of your arm.
31:23My wife might tell a difference.
31:24Your wife is — your wife — oh, where is your — oh, look at that.
31:28Wow.
31:29It's not here somewhere.
31:30I agree.
31:31Where is — where is the wife of Dr. Jones?
31:33I just want to know, did he lose anything mentally?
31:36Because if he did, I want — I don't — I no longer want him as my doctor.
31:40And then — no, he's an unbelievable doctor.
31:42No, here's the bottom line.
31:43So you had this book.
31:45He gets a call two days ago.
31:47I put out a Truth Social yesterday.
31:49I've sold a lot of bestsellers when I like people.
31:52I put it out.
31:53Great book.
31:54Bop, bop, bop.
31:55Picture of this Viper coming like boom from the White House.
31:59And his publisher calls him.
32:01I said, Doctor, what happened?
32:03What's going on?
32:04He said, we're being into — did they sell 100,000?
32:07What's the number?
32:08They sold 100,000 books.
32:11It's the number one bestseller.
32:14Can you believe it?
32:15It's the number one bestselling book.
32:20Can you believe it?
32:22No.
32:23So now you're a bestselling author.
32:24Now he can quit the White House and — but anyway.
32:27He's a great doctor with a terrible — that was a terrible experience.
32:30I mean, you went through hell for years, right?
32:32And — and the power is incredible of animals.
32:37You know?
32:38The power is incredible.
32:39You got hit.
32:40And we tell you — a lot of respect.
32:42The chances of living from that stake are substantially less than 1 percent.
32:46And that's only if you have the venom.
32:49Even if you have the venom, you don't live.
32:51And this guy is living.
32:52But I have a feeling that first blow missing — that was — I assume there was a lot less
32:58going in.
32:59Right?
33:00So — but it just —
33:01— he said, the good Lord saved him.
33:02I can maybe say that, too.
33:08Every once in a while, I get that throbbing feeling.
33:10I say, thank you very much.
33:11You know?
33:12So we're in maybe a similar position.
33:14But you're a great doctor, and I appreciate it.
33:17I just think it's an incredible story.
33:18Go buy his book.
33:19But it's an incredible story.
33:21100,000 books sold in a day and a half.
33:23That's incredible, right?
33:24It's an amazing story.
33:25I want to just explain a couple of things, and then I'm going to just leave by saying,
33:31have a great Christmas.
33:32But our country is doing really well.
33:35We inherited a mess from Biden and the Biden administration.
33:39We had the worst inflation in the history of our country.
33:42The worst inflation in the history of our country.
33:45Prices were the highest they ever were.
33:48And what we're doing is bringing them down.
33:51We now have — inflation is totally neutralized.
33:54We may get it a little bit lower.
33:56You don't want to get it too — you don't want deflation.
33:58Deflation is, in many ways, worse than inflation.
34:01But we have a record setting.
34:02We have more people on Friday.
34:04We had more people working on Friday than at any time in the history of our country.
34:09Think of that.
34:10Wages have gone up by more than inflation.
34:14First time that's happened in many years.
34:16We are doing great, and prices are coming down.
34:19And the Democrats use this word called affordability.
34:22They look at the camera, and they say, what are you going to do for that?
34:25Affordability.
34:26They keep saying affordability.
34:28Well, they're the ones that caused the problem.
34:30Okay?
34:31They're the ones that caused the problem.
34:33That's all they're doing.
34:34They're good at cheating in elections.
34:35Very good at cheating.
34:36They're professionals at cheating.
34:38Because we won in 2016 by a lot.
34:40The election was rigged in 2020.
34:42We have all the ammunition, all the stuff, and you'll see it come out.
34:45It's coming out in truckloads.
34:48But then we won again in 2024 with an election that we call too big to rig.
34:54And we were leading big in the polls.
34:56But I said, go out and vote.
34:58You got to go out and vote.
35:00Make it too big to rig.
35:01And that's exactly — they tried to rig it, but they couldn't do it.
35:04It was too big to rig.
35:05Too many votes.
35:06And we won every swing state.
35:08We won by millions of votes.
35:10We won the popular vote.
35:12We won the college — electoral college.
35:15We won something else — by a lot.
35:17We won something else that was amazing, and that's called districts.
35:21So the country is divided up into thousands of districts.
35:26We won 2,750 to 525.
35:33That's why when you look at a map of the election, the entire map is red, other than two little blue stripes along the outer edge.
35:40One is California, one is New York.
35:43And California's election — New York also — but California, more than any other place, is so rigged.
35:49It's such a rigged election.
35:50You know, we won the Hispanic vote.
35:52So a lot of people say Republicans wouldn't win California.
35:55But I won the Hispanic vote.
35:57I won in Miami — think of that.
35:59In Miami, I won the Hispanic vote.
36:01Along the Texas border, I won every single city or town touching the Texas border.
36:09And they're 85 to 90 percent Hispanic.
36:12We won the Hispanic vote.
36:14If the vote in California was legitimate — which it's not — they have 38 million ballots.
36:20Everything is mail-in voting.
36:22They mail out 38 million ballots.
36:26And they come in.
36:27Where the hell do they go?
36:28And where do they come from?
36:29It's a rigged election in California, because we would win California by a lot.
36:34And again, they feel they have the advantage with Hispanic.
36:37They don't, because I won Hispanic vote.
36:40So we are — we did something that was amazing.
36:44We made a comeback, and we got the most Republican votes in the history of elections.
36:50We won Texas by more votes than anybody's ever gotten to this — well, I did number one,
36:55number two, and three.
36:56All three I did in Texas and Alabama and many other states.
37:00We won — in many states, we have the all-time record for votes.
37:04And it was just a great election.
37:06This was a great election.
37:08And you had long since recovered from the viper bite, so you acknowledged that this was a great — because
37:13I said, I want that guy as my doctor.
37:15And it's true.
37:16And your partner is so great.
37:17He's such a great guy.
37:18So I just want to say this was an amazing period of time.
37:23Our country has been turned around much faster than I thought.
37:26If you would have told me that 10 months in, we would have over 18 trillion — with a T — not billion,
37:32but $18 trillion coming in.
37:34And they're coming in.
37:35That's all — they're building car plants.
37:37They're building AI plants.
37:38They're building everything at a level that we've never seen — that no country has ever seen before.
37:43Now, I assume that's going to start — it's already showing up.
37:47But I assume that it's going to start showing up.
37:50I'll be picking a new head of the Fed soon.
37:52Our Fed person is absolutely — despite him, we have numbers that really nobody's ever seen.
38:00Vince, right?
38:01Despite him, we have numbers that nobody's ever seen before.
38:05We're fighting through him.
38:06And we'll soon have a good head of the Fed who's going to want to see interest rates go down.
38:11But we're fighting through higher interest rates.
38:13But the interest rates are coming down despite him.
38:16He's an incompetent — he's an incompetent person who suffers from Trump derangement syndrome.
38:21Okay?
38:22It's one of those little problems.
38:23We have many of them.
38:24But we're fighting through that stuff.
38:27And we have a country that potentially is geared to have the most incredible golden years ever.
38:33We're going to have — it's the golden age.
38:35I say it's the golden age of America when these factories and plants open up by the thousands.
38:40Toyota just announced they're going to spend $10 billion building plants to make Toyotas.
38:45So they're coming from Germany.
38:47They're coming from Japan.
38:49They're coming from Canada.
38:51Many factories are coming in because they don't have — they don't want to pay tariffs.
38:56Very simple.
38:57They're coming in and they're spending a tremendous — they're spending hundreds of billions of dollars.
39:02Our car industry lost 58 percent of their capacity over the years.
39:08They went to Europe.
39:09They went to Mexico, Japan.
39:11They went all over.
39:13They went to South Korea.
39:16And now it's just the opposite.
39:18They're all coming back.
39:19We're going to — we have an age that's coming up, the likes of which I don't think this country has — this country has never seen.
39:26And I just look so forward to the results.
39:30You're going to see results in six months to a year.
39:33I think you'll see results — we've never had anything like it.
39:36Again, there's never been any country — China, wonderful.
39:40I have a great relationship with President Xi.
39:43China has never seen it.
39:45Nobody has ever seen it.
39:46And by the way, we're leading in AI by a lot.
39:49AI is a big deal.
39:50And we're leading in AI by a lot.
39:53And the big problem was electricity.
39:55But I allow our plants — in other words, all of these geniuses that are building a $60 billion — billion — $60 billion plant — I allow them to build their own electric capacity as part of the plant.
40:08And that solved the problem with the old grid.
40:10So they're able to do things that nobody thought they'd be able to do.
40:13We're getting them very fast approvals.
40:15And many of those plants are right now being built.
40:17So we have things happening like nobody's ever seen before.
40:21We have a great country.
40:22It's a great time to have Christmas.
40:24And I just want to introduce a person who's very outstanding.
40:28She is a great person, a highly respected woman.
40:32Every time I make a speech, I see signs,
40:34We love our First Lady.
40:35We love our First Lady.
40:36They love our First Lady.
40:38What can I do?
40:39I don't like it because I think they like her more than they like me.
40:42And I am not happy about it.
40:44I am not happy about it.
40:45We're going to have to have a discussion about this.
40:47But they love our First Lady.
40:49And, you know, Melania did all of these decorations.
40:53And she's gotten great reviews.
40:55The first year she did the trees, they were — that's right.
40:58The first year, year one, she did the trees that were white.
41:03And there was so — you know, snow, beautiful.
41:05And the fake news hit her hard.
41:07The next year, they were red.
41:09Gorgeous red.
41:10They hit her hard.
41:12The next year, there were another color.
41:14They hit her.
41:15I said, baby, do me a favor.
41:16Do me a favor.
41:17Make the trees green.
41:19Let them just be green.
41:20They're so beautiful.
41:21Let them be green.
41:22Anyway, she has gotten the greatest reviews I've ever seen.
41:26And nobody has ever gotten reviews like this for the White House.
41:30I actually like the white ones better, but what am I — she has done a great job.
41:35And maybe I'll ask her to say a few words.
41:37She loves you all.
41:38Thank you very much.
41:42Good afternoon.
41:43Welcome to the White House.
41:45It's nice to see familiar faces.
41:47First of all, my thoughts and prayers go to the families of people who lost their loved ones around the world in this difficult time.
41:59We are celebrating here Christmas, and I'm thinking about them, what they're going through.
42:05So my heart is with them.
42:08I would like that you enjoy today the White House.
42:11It's a special place.
42:13And we have a Santa visiting today.
42:16I hope you saw him.
42:18And if not, go to visit him in the green room, the family's room, a game room.
42:23He's waiting for you.
42:24You could take pictures and maybe whisper to him what you would like to have as a present for Christmas.
42:32So enjoy the time.
42:34Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
42:37And all the best to your families.
42:42And I just want to say, go.
42:46You're here for a reason.
42:47It's to celebrate Christmas and all of the holidays and the success of America.
42:53But we have the best chefs here.
42:55You are going to love that food.
42:57So go and get the food.
42:58Everybody wants to come to the Christmas party.
43:01I have made so many enemies because you can only have so many.
43:04And I've made so many enemies because I'm saying, I'm sorry, we're just not able to accommodate you.
43:09I don't necessarily say it myself, but our people do.
43:12And I think it's ten to one, Vince.
43:14Ten to one.
43:15The one gets in and the ten don't.
43:17This is not a good — politically, this is not a good thing.
43:20But you're here.
43:21The food is phenomenal.
43:23Go eat.
43:24Merry Christmas.
43:25Happy Hanukkah.
43:26And really have a fantastic year.
43:28We're going to have a great year.
43:29Thank you very much, everybody.
