00:00Is that comfortable there?
00:01Yeah.
00:02Now my heart's racing.
00:04Just relax and tell the truth.
00:06Okay.
00:07I'm not scared.
00:09You're scared.
00:17Are you ready for this?
00:20Let's do it.
00:21Let's just go.
00:21Let's go.
00:26Is your name Dua Lipa?
00:29Yes.
00:30Are you 25 years old?
00:32Yes.
00:33Are you ready to take this lie detector test?
00:36Yes.
00:37Alright, we're calibrated.
00:39Let's go with your career.
00:41For your first album,
00:43you performed 245 live shows.
00:46Yeah.
00:48Was that too many?
00:52It was a lot.
00:54I don't know.
00:55Yeah, it was quite a lot.
00:56I mean, I don't regret any of those shows,
01:00but there were moments where I felt definitely a bit run down.
01:04When you were feeling run down,
01:06you ever fall down on stage?
01:07I have tripped on stage.
01:10I actually fell going up some stairs.
01:13I went down to the crowd.
01:15I was like singing with everyone and I got so excited.
01:17I was going to run back up on stage,
01:18missed the step,
01:19fell on my knees,
01:20got back up,
01:21carried on singing.
01:21and as if nothing had happened,
01:23but yes.
01:24Yikes.
01:26You ever forget the lyrics to one of your songs?
01:29Yes.
01:31More than once.
01:33The worst bit is
01:35when you forget the lyrics
01:37and then you look out into the crowd
01:39in the hopes that someone's going to sing the lyrics back
01:41and they're like literally mouthing the words to you
01:43and you still don't know the words,
01:46that's perfect when that happens.
01:51Speaking of the crowd,
01:52you ever lock eyes with an attractive person out there
01:55and, you know, flirt?
01:57Not to flirt,
01:59but people in the crowd,
02:01I think,
02:02what?
02:03I'm not.
02:03I haven't.
02:04This is ridiculous.
02:06I haven't locked eyes on anyone to flirt in the crowd.
02:10Inconclusive.
02:11Inconclusive!
02:14No.
02:15I haven't.
02:17You sing the lyrics,
02:20if you're under him,
02:21you ain't getting over him.
02:25Yes.
02:26Is this something you've learned from experience?
02:31Maybe.
02:34Yes or no?
02:38Yes.
02:39Have you ever called someone
02:47because you were drunk and alone?
02:52Yes,
02:53but
02:53my friends,
02:56actually.
02:56I think
02:57it's kind of worse
02:58that I kind of
02:59in full consciousness
03:01call people
03:01like that I shouldn't
03:03instead of being drunk
03:04and having an excuse.
03:06Like normally,
03:06if I'm drunk and alone,
03:07and I call my friends
03:08to like
03:08wail about something,
03:10but
03:10so I don't know what's better,
03:13actually.
03:14In your song,
03:15Levitating,
03:16you use the affectionate term
03:18sugar boo.
03:21Have you ever called
03:22a significant other
03:23sugar boo?
03:24Yes,
03:27as a joke,
03:28just for fun,
03:29I have.
03:31What are the qualities
03:32of a sugar boo?
03:36Sweet,
03:37little teddy bear,
03:39cute,
03:41sugar boo.
03:43You won the Grammy
03:44for the best vocal album
03:46this year.
03:47Would you say awards
03:48are important to you?
03:49I don't like to base
03:55my success
03:57on awards,
03:59but it definitely
04:00does feel really nice
04:01to be recognized
04:02for something
04:03that I'm really
04:03passionate about,
04:04so I guess
04:05in that way,
04:05yes.
04:06Did you prepare
04:07a speech
04:07just in case
04:08you won?
04:10Yes,
04:11I did.
04:12Because I get
04:13really scared
04:14sometimes
04:14talking in public,
04:16and I wrote
04:17down little notes,
04:18and then it was
04:19kind of a little bit
04:20of everything
04:21that I had written down.
