00:07Brickfield's police chief, Hu Chang-huk, said the 37-year-old man was arrested at a
00:11flat in Cheras at 2 am and that the case was being investigated under Section 323 of the
00:16penal code for voluntarily causing hurt.
00:19In a statement today, the Kuala Lumpur Magistrates Court granted a three-day remand until November
00:2428, noting that the suspect was unemployed and the attack was personally motivated.
00:29Harish, a co-founder of the 2213 news website, was reportedly assaulted by two men in Bangsar
00:35yesterday afternoon.
00:36Harish, who reportedly suffered injuries to his face, hands and body, spent 25 years reporting
00:42on governance and accountability.
00:44His recent work includes investigative reporting on Malaysian sport, particularly governance
00:49issues and the national football team's naturalization scandal.
00:52Meanwhile, the Football Association of Malaysia Today issued a statement condemning the attack
00:57and any form of violence, intimidation or threat against anyone, including journalists who
