00:00China has alerted Japan to its military threats against Taiwan, warning that any attempt at
00:06intervention would be unacceptable and could provoke an international reaction.
00:11From Beijing, our correspondent Bruno Falsi brings us more details.
00:16Hello to all from Telesur and to the audience following us in this transmission.
00:21I am in the Chinese capital now to update you on the alert issued by Beijing recording
00:28the possible Japanese military movements towards Taiwan in the context of Chinese Foreign Minister
00:37Wang Xin that urged Tokyo to reflect and correct its mistakes as soon as possible, reminding
00:46that any challenge to China's sovereignty, national unity and strategic security is unacceptable
00:55and could be reexamined by the international community.
01:00These warnings take on greater significance, consider that during the World War II, the Japanese
01:07army occupied much of the mainland of China and controlled Taiwan and committed massacres,
01:17genocide, sexual slavery, torture and medical experiments, resulting in the death of approximately
01:2635 million civilians.
01:29The Foreign Minister reiterated Beijing's position on Taiwan, recalling that any attempt to challenge
01:37the framework constitutes, according to China, a violation of its core interests.
01:45Beijing uphold the One China Principles, which states that Taiwan is part of the country and
01:53that the People Republic of China is the sole legitimate government.
01:59These principles enjoy international backing.
02:02According to UN Resolution 2758, China is recognized as its sole representative in this organization,
02:15excluding any separate status on this island.
02:20With these news, we return with you in La Habana, Cuba.
