00:00A new video shows Andy Reid addressing the Chiefs' offensive balance, and his tone makes
00:06it clear he was frustrated with Patrick Mahomes.
00:09As he explained why the team's run game has looked inconsistent, he pointed out that run
00:14calls are being made but do not always stay that way.
00:17He noted,
00:17But the runs are being called, it's just, you know, sometimes they get turned into passes
00:24in today's world.
00:25Reid rarely speaks this directly about his quarterback, and the clip instantly drew attention
00:29because of how pointed his comments were.
00:32His frustration comes through as he discusses how decisions before the snap affect the rhythm
00:36of the offense.
00:38We have some hard runs where you just get up, line up, and go.
00:41Probably could call more of those.
00:42The most striking part of the video is how Reid closes his message.
00:46It is an unusually public signal from the head coach that the quarterback's choices need
00:50to shift as the Chiefs search for more balance on offense.
