Taiwan's APEC representative Lin Hsin-i says he was able to meet with officials from around 10 countries at this year's APEC forum, which ended Saturday. Meanwhile, the foreign ministry says it has a written guarantee from Beijing that Taiwan will be allowed to take part in next year's forum, to be hosted in the Chinese tech hub Shenzhen.

00:25pledged to further strengthen Taiwan-Japan ties. Takeichi, who shared a photo with Lin on social
00:31media, also reiterated Japan's commitment to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
00:37Lin also met privately with Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
