Actor Lewis Howden speaks about the new series of Shetland
Transcript
00:00It's Janet Christie and we're here with Lewis Howden who plays Sergeant Billy McCabe in Shetland
00:04which is back with the new series. Thanks for joining us. What can we expect in the new season of Shetland?
00:10Hello Janet. I'm very pleased to be here.
00:12You can always expect thrills, spills, a bit of intrigue, murder.
00:18More emotional content than maybe you'd be used to in the past for all the characters.
00:24We've got to be careful that I don't say too much but I think it's a really exciting series this time
00:28that's going to keep audiences guessing right up to the last minute.
00:31And you've played Billy for over a decade, 13 years now.
00:34Yes.
00:36How would you describe him?
00:38Oh, Billy. My partner described Billy as a great example of modern manhood and I agree with him.
00:47I don't know what that means but I think he's solid. He's a rock that everyone can trust and depend on.
00:53He's funny. He's a nice guy. He's straight. He's honest. And he cooks a mean scone.
01:03As well as being in Shetland and having played Billy, you've also had a long stage career.
01:08Yes.
01:08And one of your most well-known roles, you've played Macbeth a few times.
01:13Yeah.
01:13So would you give us a little bit of Macbeth?
01:15Oh, if I can remember. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day
01:26to the last syllable of recorded time. And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death.
01:36So would you like to see what the hell would be next?
