Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock reaction

Graham Falk reacts to Danny Röhl's first win in charge at Ibrox.

00:00A 3-1 victory here for Rangers at Ivox against Kilmarnock in Daniel Wohl's first league game in charge.

00:07Their first home league win of the season and their first in 165 days.

00:12A well-deserved win for Rangers, goals coming from Derek Cornelius after 15 minutes,

00:16then a goal on 52 minutes from Danilo, his first league goal of the season,

00:20and then finished off a superb day for Rangers really,

00:23with Yusef Chimiti, their £8.5 million sign-in, grabbing his first goal in Rangers colours.

00:29It was a day that didn't come without tension, although Rangers were in the ascendancy for the majority of the game,

00:35Kilmarnock did equalise just before half-time with a header from a corner,

00:39something that Jack Butland won't be too pleased with.

00:42Goatheavis had a good season, one of the few bright spots for Rangers, but a little bit at fault on that goal.

00:47But look, whatever Daniel Wohl said at half-time, Rangers came back out in the second half

00:52and performed as they did at the start of the game, and a great header coming from Danilo,

00:56he'll be delighted with that, he was a surprise starter, one of four changes.

01:00He'll be delighted to get himself off the mark, of course, he's got competition in Miofsky and Chimiti as well,

01:06but the biggest cheer of the day, if I'm completely honest, came from Yusef Chimiti and his goal.

01:11It was fortuitous, the goalkeeper should have done better for Kilmarnock Beach,

01:15won't be pleased with the fact that it slipped through his fingers, but Yusef Chimiti will not care.

01:20He looked reinvigorated after that as well, plenty of good forward runs,

01:24looked a little bit more confident than he had done in recent weeks,

01:27and that can only be a good thing for Daniel Wohl.

01:29End of the game, the fans were left chanting his name, and all in all, that's a perfect start for Daniel Wohl.

01:35But he said earlier in the week, you know, he wants to see wins in a row,

01:39that's what's going to separate, I think, the week from the chap,

01:41and really determine whether his time at Rangers is successful or not.

01:45Just a small matter of Celtic in Elite Cup semi-final next week.

01:49Doesn't get any easier, doesn't get any less exciting.
