00:05approaches a 60th birthday. The pop superstar was honored with Icon Award at
00:11the Gala of Stars, an annual event organized by Dancers Against Cancer
00:16celebrating excellence and resilience in the global dance community.
00:23I'm really grateful I'm really honored to be here tonight and to receive this
00:28recognition. I love dance. I've always loved dance and I remember since when I
00:36was five six years old always dancing with with my brothers around the house
00:42they were my my first teachers and choreographers. Now we fast forward to
00:49to several decades later when I became a solo artist I had the privilege to work
00:57with a lot of amazing dancers and choreographers and some of them are here
01:01tonight and I heard Gil introduce you to a lot of them.
01:05I want to thank all of you guys for sharing your creativity but not just that
01:11for your friendship through all these years. Other honorees included Ben Varine,
01:17Debbie Gibson, Derek Hugh and JoJo Siwa. Jackson also took a moment to thank her family, her creative
01:24collaborators and her fans.
01:26I also want to sincerely thank everyone who's been there for me throughout this entire journey
01:32and I want to thank God for giving me life, allowing me to have a career and to continue to do what I love and still enjoy.
01:48And last but not least, in a few, in more than a few months, maybe six or seven months, I'm going to be 60 years old.
01:57And I have to tell you, I have no plans to stop dancing.
