00:00To start with it was obviously I've known Stachy for a lot of years for football, a friend of mine, got a lot of mutual friends, similar kind of age so I've known him quite a long time and he just reached out on social media saying that he had a charity event, would I get involved and I just snapped and said yes, didn't ask what it was about, I was just like yeah I'm down, obviously he's based in London and I'm based in the north so I don't tend to get to see
00:30some of the lads down south as much so I said if it's all the lads getting together and stuff and it's a charity, yeah I'll get involved and then about three months ago he messaged me and said right will all systems go on the event and sent me a package across for it and it was boxing, I mean it was me thinking it was going to be like a charity football event which normally it is when you finish football that's normally the gig and then there was boxing and I was just like yeah even better I said yeah
00:59I'm down, that's good. How does it feel putting your football boots away and picking up them boxing gloves?
01:06Very different, very different, the boots have been in the cupboard for a lot of years like they were carrying cobwebs but to get out of the gloves was a nice feeling, I used to do a little bits of boxing when I was playing football, I think all boys did like you used to do it, incorporate as part of your training regime when we were playing and then post playing I still used to do a little bits in the gym and that like so I've had obviously
01:29a pair of my own gloves but he said yeah I've been sending all the gear out to you which has been really good obviously I've got a lot of sponsors that are back at the event and they've been sending the supplements and the gloves like so getting the gloves out and actually getting back in the ring was initially was a really good feeling like yeah.
