00:30So what is the NUX Mighty Space? In a nutshell it's a powerful and portable 30 watt stereo wireless
00:47modeling amp for electric and acoustic guitars and bass. But it's many things. It's an amp,
00:53an amp modeler, a multi-effects processor, an amp head. It has a built-in wireless and comes
00:59with a wireless transmitter and a drum machine and looper. The amp sounds great as is but once
01:06you pair it with its companion app or use the Mighty Editor software on Mac and PC you have unlimited
01:12flexibility with its plethora of features and your tonal possibilities are nearly endless.
01:18So what is it that all guitarists want? Well you can agree we just want to get up and running without
01:30any fuss and the Mighty Space comes with everything you need to do just that and get started. The amp
01:36comes with NUX's B5 wireless transmitter that works wirelessly up to 100 feet and the amp is also battery
01:44powered and can last over seven plus hours off playtime on a single charge. It also comes with the NMP2
01:51footswitch for drum and looper control or for switching through presets. So before I even show
01:57you and get to the app let's use this Mighty Space as a standalone amp.
02:16On the top you can see all the standard amp controls and for its sound
02:20it features dual four inch coaxial speakers that are loud and clear.

03:16So how does it achieve the realistic amp-like tones?
03:44Like NUX's MG400 Modeler, which I reviewed and loved, the Mighty Space's sonic engine
03:49houses two powerful DSP chips for NUX's high-definition white-box amp modeling algorithm, or TSACHD,
03:59which stands for True Simulation of an Analog Circuit and Core Image Post Effects, which
04:05translates to you're going to feel the difference in playability and experience realistic amp
04:11and cab sounds from the Mighty Space.
04:14What's amazing is you can drive external cabinets like a 412 via its speaker-out jack.
04:39So far so good, right?
04:41Now let's get to the Mighty Space mobile app.
04:53Right now you're looking at the Mighty Space edit window where you have seven presets to
04:57choose from, which are the same as the amp from which you just heard.
05:01You can also select by using the active button which presets are active by simply unchecking
05:06the other presets.
05:08This is great if you only need a few presets if you're playing live and just to quickly
05:13go through.
05:14Now below that you'll see the signal path blockchain with nine processing blocks that you can easily
05:21rearrange or adjust the order anywhere in the signal path.
05:25You can even move a delay before the amp or in front of the amp for example.
05:29At the moment I have the amp block open so you can see what model amp I'm currently running
05:35and the control set of EQ and amp settings to adjust.
05:38And if you wish to change the amp currently in operation, simply touching the amp button will
05:43show you a list of 21 model amps to choose from.
05:48From there you can select the IR impulse responses block to select 34 premium built-in IRs which
05:54include guitar cabs, bass guitar cabs, acoustic guitar IRs, and chop tone IRs.
06:01And scrolling down further you'll see an additional 20 user slots for third-party IR loading.
06:07You can select other blocks to choose from and edit parameters from over 43 effects that
06:13include gates, compressors, modulation, reverb delays, EQs, and EFX which includes overdrives,
06:21boosts, distortions, and fuzz.
06:23And if you wish to tweak any of the presets or create your own, don't forget to hit save.
06:28Moreover, if you'd rather use your computer, you can and get even more tones and IRs from
06:33the Mighty Space by using NUX's intuitive Mighty Editor software for your Mac or PC computer.
06:40NUX is consistent in firmware updates so you can pretty much bank on new amps and cav sims
06:45at some point.
06:46Just keep on checking NUX's online page and Facebook page and groups.
06:50Next up is the drum machine with a bunch of patterns and genres to play along to.
06:55Again, you can control volume, EQ, and tempo, or tap the tempo if you wish.
07:12Moving over to the looper, you have total control.
07:19And again, both the drum and looper have foot switchable control.
07:31The Mighty Space's USB-C port allows live streaming for computers and mobile phones,
07:46and supports normal, dry-out, re-amp, and loop-back routing.
07:50Finally, there's the jam track section where there are backing tracks and artist tracks to
07:55play along to and with, and you can even add your own custom tracks.
07:59One of the coolest features here is you're able to change presets within a track.
08:04This is called adding events.
08:06Simply click on the overwrite icon to the right, find the timecode, or move within the
08:10song, and hit the add button, which prompts you to pick one of your presets to embed.
08:16You can keep doing this as much as you like, or remove it by clicking the trash icon or the
08:21clear all button.
08:23What's great is it just allows you to concentrate on playing and swap different sounds on the
08:27track.
