00:11in connection with a brutal home invasion and assault in North Orupuch.
00:17The victim, a woman, was intact inside her home, enduring rape, grievous sexual assault,
00:23and multiple assaults during what police have described as a disturbing and calculated attack.
00:29But after five months of tireless investigative work, police say the man responsible is now behind bars.
00:36Officers arrested a 25-year-old during a coordinated police operation in Mayaro on September 22nd.
00:43Searchers at two locations linked to the suspect turned up four rounds of 9mm ammunition,
00:49leading to the additional arrest of a 27-year-old male relative.
00:53The suspect was formally charged on September 24th with a total of 11 offenses.
00:59A teacher charged with cocaine possession while at the primary school he teaches
01:03has been sent to the St. Anne's Hospital for evaluation of Reform Village
01:08and will appear before the court on October 16th.
01:1249-year-old Kevin Doman's attorney, Petranila Bastew, told Master Kamitra Gray today
01:18that a psychiatric evaluation may be necessary for their client
01:22who was recently discharged from Ward 1 of the San Fernando General Hospital.
01:26The court sent Doman, a teacher, for the past 20 years to St. Anne's for a two-week evaluation.
01:32He will then be remanded to the prison to return to court on October 16th.
01:37Doman was charged with possession of 3.2 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
01:42while at the St. Julian Presbyterian School.
01:45A 37-year-old man appeared in court this week in connection with burglary and larceny charges
01:53stemming from a break-in at a Sangre Grandi home last month.
01:59Kevin Prime stood before Master Rihanna Hussain at North Masters High Court on Monday
02:05where he pleaded guilty to both charges.
02:07He was granted bail in the sum of $75,000.
02:10As part of his bail conditions, Prime must remain at least 50 feet away
02:19from the virtual complainant, reside within the Sangre Grandi district
02:22and report to the Sangre Grandi police station twice weekly.
02:26The charges relate to the incident on August 4th
02:29when a female victim reported that she was awakened by a noise around 12.35 a.m.
02:35She later discovered that cash had been stolen from a small business she operates out of home.
02:40The matter has been adjourned to October 20th
02:43and transferred to the Sangre Grandi Magistrates Court.
