00:00The Los Angeles Chargers enter into year number two of the Jim Harbaugh era and
00:07Harbaugh has been a consistent winner when he is in charge of an NFL team.
00:13I think you can make that same case, quite frankly, throughout his college career.
00:16The guy can coach and this is a Chargers group who I'll tell you, you know, for me, Lisey,
00:24they were a Super Bowl pick consideration.
00:26I think once the Slater injury happened, I knew I was not going to be able to fully
00:30get there, but I still think this team, at least in the regular season, has a high ceiling.
00:37I think the schedule breaks their way.
00:39I think the defense, I just, even if it's not loaded with stars, I expect to be good
00:45because I trust the coaching staff and I think the offensive line will be better.
00:51I think, okay, I think the offensive line will still be really good.
00:53With the addition of Mekhi Becton, Alton year number two, I think that they'll still be
00:57a solid group in that way.
00:59And I think they may have drafted the offensive rookie of the year in Amari and Hampton.
01:04This is a team that wants to run the football.
01:05I think Hampton will be much better than J.K.
01:07Dobbins was last year because Hampton is younger, more explosive, and I think he could have himself
01:13a really strong season.
01:15Ladder McConkie in year number two.
01:16I mean, you can hear it.
01:17I'm high on this football team here.
01:18I think the Chargers, not the Broncos like the books believe, I think the Chargers are
01:23the biggest threats to the Kansas City Chiefs here in the AFC West.
01:27It's possible, and I believe with you that Harbaugh has this team trending, right?
01:32And they over-exceed expectations in year number one.
01:35They play for a half with Houston, and then in the second half, they fall off the rails.
01:40Offensive, defensive lines break down.
01:42Herbert, with the four interceptions, put his team at a disadvantage, right?
01:45I get that.
01:47Yes, Hampton's a great running back for this offense because we know they want to predicate
01:51ground and pound, work off of play action, and at times, utilize Justin Herbert.
01:57The problem that I have when I look at the depth chart and when I look at this team from
02:01a passing perspective, Ladder McConkie's great.
02:05Quinton Johnson, Stonehands, okay.
02:09Keenan Allen, aging veteran, okay.
02:11If he was that good, he'd still be with Chicago.
02:14What do you get out of this passing attack?
02:17Can Trey Harris, who's banged up now, be that guy?
02:20It's possible.
02:21Yeah.
02:21But is he going to hit the ground running when he is available and all of a sudden going
02:26to make up for the lack of productivity that we saw outside of pure number one?
02:31Ladder McConkie is not a pure number one.
02:33He's good, and he's not Justin Jefferson.
02:36He's not Jamar Chase.
02:37He's not A.J. Brown.
02:39He's not C.D. Lamb.
02:40How many pure number ones are there?
02:41Are there only six?
02:42Is he Terry McLaurin?
02:45He's better than Terry McLaurin.
02:46No, he's not.
02:46Yeah, Terry McLaurin.
02:47No, he's not.
02:48Come on.
02:49Come on.
02:49Come on.
02:50Come on.
02:50His rookie year, he goes.
02:51Is he Malik Nabors?
02:52Well, Nabors is a special football player.
02:54Is he Brian Thomas?
02:55I like Brian Thomas.
02:56Here we go.
02:57But then add him to Jace and Justin Jefferson and all the C.D. Lamb, A.J. Brown.
03:02I think Ladder McConkie is one of the 15 best receivers in football.
03:07That feels high to you?
03:08He's there.
03:11He's there.
03:11But again, they're going to double team him.
03:13So this is my thing with their pass catch room.
03:15And I'm going to be honest.
03:17I am saying it with a smile because I understand.
03:20I'm not giving up on Quentin Johnston.
03:22Oh, come on.
03:22I'm not giving up on Quentin Johnston.
03:24Come on.
03:25You go.
03:25No.
03:26Don't throw it.
03:27Don't throw it.
03:28Please.
03:29Don't throw it.
03:30Don't throw it.
03:32No.
03:33You can't throw it to the guy.
03:35This guy had eight touchdowns last year.
03:36Oh, come on.
03:37Round one pedigree.
03:38How many games did he have the ball hit him in his face and he dropped it?
03:43And then everybody tweeted out all offseason, Harbaugh coaching up, Quentin Johnston.
03:49And all of a sudden they show like four drops in the precinct.
03:52I can't.
03:53No way.
03:54Here's the thing.
03:55I don't.
03:56I just.
03:56I still believe he's got round one pedigree.
03:58He was great at TCU.
04:00He really was.
04:01He was.
04:01He was one of the reasons why he beat Harbaugh in the semifinal.
04:06He's trying to.
04:07He keeps shaking him.
04:08He's like, I explained to me how you guys won that game.
04:10Can't catch the ball.
04:12Here's what I think, because I guess I'm a little bit higher on Lad McConkie than you.
04:16Okay.
04:16No, no, no.
04:16I love Lad.
04:17No, you don't.
04:18No, I love Lad.
04:18You're low on Lad.
04:19He's not Jamal Chase.
04:21He's not.
04:21Nobody thinks that.
04:22That's not the bar.
04:24That's not the bar.
04:25All right.
04:25All right.
04:26So that.
04:26No one thinks Lad's the best receiver in football.
04:28Okay.
04:29AJ.
04:30Is he as good as AJ?
04:31AJ Brown's a top four receiver in football.
04:33CD Lamb.
04:34CD Lamb's a top six receiver.
04:35Where's Neighbors and Brian Thomas?
04:37I think Brian Thomas is a top eight guy.
04:39I think Neighbors is a top 12 guy.
04:40I think Lad's in that range.
04:42DK Metcalf.
04:43I take Lad McConkie.
04:44Oh, come on.
04:47Come on.
04:48No way.
04:49Really?
04:50Really?
04:50Yeah.
04:51Nah.
04:52What about.
04:53All right.
04:54Garrett Wilson.
04:55Yeah.
04:56Give me Lad McConkie.
04:56Oh, you're nuts.
04:57No.
04:58Really?
04:58Come on.
04:59Are we serious?
05:00I love Lad.
05:00But he's a pure number two.
05:02No.
05:02No.
05:03No.
05:03No.
05:03No.
05:04No.
05:04No.
05:04No.
05:05No.
05:05No.
05:05No.
