00:06Frank walks
00:08It's time for Frank walks
00:10Frank talks while Frank walks
00:12It's time for Frank walks
00:20Alright well
00:22If
00:24I'm an NFL receiver
00:26This is a nightmare
00:28You wouldn't get open
00:30I got it
00:32We're 40 tweets here
00:34Yeah exactly
00:36Is this Devin and Jason
00:38No
00:40Devin and Jason
00:42We'll edit that up
00:44We'll be all good
00:46Quarterbacks are always confused too
00:48I know if
00:50Zach Wilson was here
00:52He'd throw the ball to me
00:54Poor Zach Wilson
00:56I've never heard a name be brought up more
00:58When it comes to me
01:00Than Zach Wilson
01:02Especially living in New York, New Jersey area
01:04Is that because you dropped the picks or
01:06I dropped maybe one or two
01:08But I still got three maybe I think
01:10Three or four
01:12More than you
01:14You played together at Rutgers
01:18Yup
01:20And then you had both excellent long NFL careers
01:24And then you got to actually play together
01:26And won a Super Bowl together
01:28What was that like?
01:30Man for me it was unbelievable
01:32Cause you gotta remember even before I got to that Super Bowl season
01:36I was in Cleveland a year before and we didn't win a damn game
01:38We were 0-16
01:40So to now go to New England
01:42And me and him would go at it in the meeting rooms
01:44We were two of the oldest guys in the room
01:46Older than both coaches
01:48So it was a ton of fun
01:50Our mom did confetti angels down on the field
01:52Once we won the Super Bowl
01:54So it was a blast
01:56You had a 2-14 season
01:583-13
01:593-13
02:001-15
02:01No I missed that
02:02No no no
02:03Don't put that one on my record
02:04I wasn't there
02:05So getting him there to New England
02:07For me it was like
02:09I get to show him what I've been doing
02:11Being around all this greatness
02:13He came in
02:14And he did a good job fitting in and doing his job
02:16I mean almost your entire career
02:18You're at least in the AFC Championship game every year
02:21Yep
02:228 out of 13 years
02:23Until Brady left
02:24AFC Championship or Super Bowl
02:26Some might say it had a lot to do with Tom
02:31What was it like to play for Bill Belichick?
02:34Oh
02:35You were there for 10-13
02:37The funniest thing is
02:39When I came out of the draft
02:41The one place I didn't want to go was to New England
02:44We had our coach
02:46Coach Shiano at Rutgers
02:48He used to talk about Bill non-stop
02:51And all of us was like
02:52Well damn that's one place I don't want to go
02:54And then you get there
02:56And it's the dry humor
02:58It's the jokes
02:59It's non-stop of you having to be on it
03:02Like we were talking about before
03:04No umbrella
03:05You walk in the rain
03:06And in New England
03:08Whatever the weather was
03:09Bill would say
03:10Alright
03:11Whatever it is
03:12Put your shit on and get out there
03:13We're in it
03:14And that's what the expectation was
03:15Every single day
03:17That he would expect you to raise to that standard
03:19Or
03:20As I saw very quickly when I first got there
03:22They got you up out of there
03:23In a heartbeat
03:24I loved it from the stance of
03:26By the time I got there
03:27I had already heard
03:28All the horror stories from Dev
03:30So I knew exactly
03:31What I was walking into
03:32What I enjoyed most was the team meetings
03:34Because Bill would go at anybody
03:37We're playing
03:38It was the Chargers in the playoffs in 2018
03:40He's showing film of Brady throwing interceptions
03:43From like a decade ago
03:44I think it was 06
03:45And it was like he's going in on him though
03:47I mean we're throwing the ball into a damn team meeting here
03:50And I think he knew all the right buttons to press
03:53To get each and every guy going
03:55To get the best out of them on whatever day we were playing
03:57I mean as a Dolphin fan
03:59Watching the Patriots win every year was torture
04:02Torture
04:03No we found a way to win these games
04:05Even though we suck
04:06We found a way to win that one game a year in Miami
04:08In Miami
04:09Usually December or January
04:10At 21 though
04:11I was a member of the Miami Dolphins
04:13Yeah
04:14We beat Dev twice
04:15It was the only time I beat them in my NFL career
04:17As a Dolphin
04:18And the funny thing is
04:20We still went to the playoffs and y'all did
04:22Oh no that was 20
04:23That was 21 yeah
04:24We went to the playoffs and y'all did
04:26How would that playoff game go?
04:29It didn't go too well
04:30Josh Allen is the reason
04:31Big reason why it was time to retire
04:37Brian Forrest you know
04:38I still think he got kind of a raw deal out here in Miami
04:41Yeah
04:42And I mean what he's been able to do with Minnesota
04:45Has been fun
04:46You know his journey
04:47And now getting to that team
04:48Who was struggling on defense
04:50And over the last few years
04:51Being one of the top ones in the league
04:53What's your expectation for your Dolphins this year?
04:55To a healthy
04:57Pain
04:58Misery
04:59Suffering
05:00Sounds like marriage
05:02I like the Patriots to finish in front of the Dolphins this year
05:05I think that's
05:06I think it's quite possible
05:07I think it's
05:08Sounds like a wager going on
05:09I think
05:10I think the Dolphins
05:12Just the
05:13Refusal to fix the offensive line
05:15Got to be an issue
05:17Yeah
05:18I mean you wanna know why Tua gets hurt all the time?
05:20Because you don't have a good offensive line
05:22You know why Devin Ayshen
05:23Hasn't been able to be
05:25Reaches maximum
05:27Because you don't have a good offensive line
05:29You know why Terry Cale had his worst season last year?
05:31Because he can't get open down the field
05:33Because you don't have a good offensive line
05:35Everything goes on the line
05:37The line
05:38The Eagles won the Super Bowl
05:39The main reason
05:40I think
05:41I mean Jalen Hurts is good
05:42But you're right
05:43We got
05:44Saquon Barkley is great
05:45We got
05:46Is that offensive line
05:47Is better than any other offensive line in the NFL
05:50And it was the difference in the Super Bowl
05:52To play in both offensive lines
05:54No doubt about it
05:56So as you look ahead to this season
05:58What teams do you think
06:00Could come out
06:01And surprise people?
06:02We were talking about this the other day
06:04I picked
06:05I think the Denver Broncos
06:07Are a team that I think they can take another step
06:09With Bo Nix's development
06:11But a lot has to do with that defense
06:13I mean I think they're going to be
06:14One of the tops in the league again
06:16With the way they can cover
06:17And get after the quarterback
06:18The Broncos are a team that
06:20Kind of my dark horse team
06:21That by the end of the season
06:22We could be talking a lot about
06:24And the other team
06:25I'll mention before Dev talks
06:26Is my Tennessee Titans
06:28No one has really talked a lot about Cam Ward
06:30And I think
06:31He's a guy that
06:32As the first overall pick
06:33He's probably had the least amount of attention
06:35In probably a decade
06:36Being first overall
06:38What he's going to do this season
06:40So you think
06:41They got a chance to challenge Houston
06:42For that decision?
06:43Yeah
06:44They were able to beat Houston last year
06:46I don't like it
06:47Obviously my number one pick
06:49Is going to be the Patriots
06:50I think the Patriots
06:51Yep
06:52When you look at strength of schedule
06:53You look at the moves they made
06:55Obviously bringing in Vrabel
06:57But I think it was the aggressiveness
06:58That they had in the off season
07:00The free agency
07:01Making the moves
07:02To get the guys they wanted in the draft
07:04But the other pick that I think
07:06No one really talks about
07:07I think it's Seattle
07:09I think Mike McDonald
07:10Another year there
07:11I think that defense will pick up
07:13Kind of where they left off
07:14At the end of last season
07:16And I think with Darnold coming in
07:18It's not the spotlight per se
07:20But I think he gets to continue to develop
07:22And I think Seattle might be a team
07:24That surprises some people this year
07:25I like that
07:26I like that
07:27I like that too
07:28You know
07:29What about the Bears?
07:31Oh
07:32You think the Bears can make it a step forward this year?
07:35Absolutely
07:36I mean they made
07:37To me the biggest move they made
07:38Was bringing in Case Keenum
07:40To be a backup quarterback
07:41With Caleb Williams
07:42Caleb Williams got there as a rookie
07:44And he had another guy in his second year
07:46From Sheppard University
07:47So now you get a veteran in the room
07:49That can help him
07:50Obviously Ben Johnson
07:51Obviously guys like Joe Tooney up front
07:53And the rest of the offensive linemen
07:55They were able to bring in
07:56You take so much pressure
07:57Off of your starting quarterback
07:59And allow him to grow and develop
08:01At his own pace
08:02I do think there's going to be
08:03A ton of pressure on Caleb
08:05With how well Jaden Daniels has played
08:07And guys like Bo Nix
08:08To be able to show up
08:09With all the moves they made this offseason
08:11Yeah to me it's just a lot of question marks
08:13Yeah
08:14Is everyone going to be as good as they were?
08:17When we talk about
08:18Is Ben Johnson going to be able to be
08:19The mad scientist like he was in Detroit?
08:21Caleb Williams under center more
08:23A lot of coaches talk about
08:25That shift from coordinator to head coach
08:28Takes away a lot of your true football time
08:31So I'm interested to see how it plays out for them
08:33I like the moves they made though
08:34Could this be the year
08:35The Buffalo Bills break through?
08:36I like
08:37See I feel better about
08:40The Baltimore Ravens having a year to break through
08:43Than I do Buffalo
08:45But both of those teams are in the same boat
08:47It's just like
08:48You're either going to beat the man or you're not
08:50I don't think there's any other additions they can make
08:53Or anything of that nature
08:54They've had enough
08:55The last few years
08:56They just can't
08:57Patrick Mahomes is a bad man
08:58And the wingman we used to talk about it
09:00We would start the offseason in April
09:02Every year talking about how one play
09:05Usually dictated war season
09:08Whether it was being in a Super Bowl
09:10Winning a Super Bowl
09:11Not winning a Super Bowl
09:12And I think for Buffalo
09:14I would say Cincinnati to some extent
09:17And then for Baltimore
09:18Well Cincinnati's gotta find some defense
09:20Yes they do
09:21They definitely do
09:22Or they gotta outscore everybody
09:23Which gets hard
09:24But I think for Baltimore and Buffalo
09:26Are you gonna make that one play?
09:28Yeah that's all
09:29It takes one play in these games
09:30In the AFC Championship for them to win
09:32They just haven't been able to close out and win it
09:34It feels like to me that
09:36Somehow the Bills are old one
09:39They're just old one
09:40From the other four
09:41Yeah
09:43That's a rough
09:44That's a rough fan base
09:46As passionate they are
09:47To know you got there four times and couldn't win
09:49And now you keep knocking on the doorstep
09:52That's a great fan base too
09:53Right
09:54Now retirement calling games out there
09:56Hanging out
09:57You go as a member of the Patriots
09:59And you're like man I'm going back
10:00Buffalo Bills fans are gonna hate us
10:02I'm saying I'm one of some of the most amazing people
10:05When you get in town
10:06They show me love
10:07Wings, everything
10:08Yeah
10:09Great fan base there
10:10I went there for a Dolphin playoff game
10:11And they were nice to me
10:13I
10:14My hands were freezing
10:15And they actually gave me gloves
10:17Are you telling me you went to a playoff game in Buffalo
10:20Without gloves?
10:21Yeah that was a rookie mistake
10:23That's the least crazy part
10:24Oh my goodness
10:25That's the least crazy part
10:26Oh yeah we had to leave
10:27In the fourth quarter
10:29The game was taking so long to play
10:31And I had a flight to catch
10:33Dave would have gotten a weird flight
10:35Frank won't ask Dave for anything
10:37So he just balanced
10:38So you left at the end of the game
10:40To F it
10:41Okay
10:42And I had
10:43To not see the end of the game
10:44And I had
10:45Well I had a Patriot fan with me
10:46So
10:47Here's what I said
10:48We had to get out
10:49We had to go
10:50We had to go
10:51But you made your flight though
10:52You were good
10:53Yeah
10:54But
10:56Now
10:58Rutgers
10:59You both played at Rutgers
11:01Yep
11:02Go for Craig Ciano
11:03What do you think Rutgers' outlook is this season?
11:06I'm still waiting for the marquee upset for Rutgers and
11:11I mean the Big Ten's now become
11:13To me
11:14The SEC
11:15That's yesterday
11:16The SEC's over
11:18You think it's the Big Ten country?
11:20It's now Big Ten
11:21Big Ten nation
11:22So many damn teams now
11:23Only one conference covers coast to coast
11:27Yeah
11:28And that's the Big Ten
11:29When you talk about excellence in football
11:33It's the Big Ten
11:35You said it
11:36Now we gotta live up to it
11:37I mean for Rutgers it's so
11:38It's gotten easier in the sense of now
11:40You spread out who you're playing against
11:43And it's not having to beat Ohio State every year
11:45Michigan
11:46Now you get to go against some of those other teams
11:48The struggle now is figuring out how to do so
11:50How to make trips all the way to the other coast
11:53And be able to win games
11:54We lost to UCLA last year at home
11:56Which was a tough game
11:57That's a game I think they should've won
11:59You gotta win those type of games
12:00Losing to Illinois on a close game
12:02So I think for Rutgers to Dev's point is
12:04Can we take that next step?
12:06Like since Ciano's been back we've been close
12:08Where now we're competitive in every game
12:10And all of that
12:11But it's like yo
12:12In order to get to where we wanna get
12:13Somebody has to step up and start making those plays
12:16Down the stretch of games
12:17To be able to win those games
12:18When you're close against Ohio State
12:19This is the year
12:20This is the year
12:21I mean
12:22I look at Rutgers as a football program
12:24They don't
12:25Have that many great seasons
12:27But
12:28You look at the NFL
12:29Rutgers here
12:30Rutgers there
12:31I mean Pachanko
12:32You guys
12:33Menunga might be the next guy in Chicago
12:36It seems like Rutgers like turns out great professionals
12:40So is that a way that you can sell that
12:42Hey look
12:43You go to Rutgers
12:44You're gonna be prepared to play in the big league
12:47Absolutely
12:48More than any other team
12:49Any other player
12:50And I know that was a selling point for us
12:53Cause Shano's background
12:55He has spent time in the NFL
12:57He spent time at Miami with the Ed Rees
13:00And the Ray Lewises
13:01And some of those great players
13:02He used to always tell us stories
13:04About Michael Irvin on the sideline
13:06Yelling at people
13:07Getting over
13:08Taking over the team
13:09So
13:10I think he always prepared guys for the NFL
13:12And
13:13Obviously
13:14Not the
13:15Seasons that you would've wanted
13:16But I think ultimately as a player
13:18That's what we all wanted
13:20We wanted success in the NFL
13:22And a lot of us found a lot of success there
13:24Cause it seems like Rutgers just turns out professionals
13:27We do
13:28And
13:29You know
13:30You got
13:31You both were legends
13:32You both had great careers
13:33Is there anything else you want to talk about
13:35Like in terms of your charities
13:36And stuff that you're working on?
13:37Yeah for sure man
13:38We
13:39Do an annual football camp every year
13:41Back home in Nyack, New York
13:43And then aside from that
13:44Now our tackle single cell campaign
13:46We've been doing for about 15 years now
13:48Sickle cell disease runs in the family
13:50So putting on casino nights
13:525k walks
13:53Blood drives
13:54Any and everything we can do to raise awareness
13:56And raise funds
13:57To give back to families
13:58And now the cool thing we get to be a part of
14:00Is something called pro athlete community
14:02Where the board co-chairs
14:04Where we're helping guys
14:06Get out of
14:07And transition from
14:08Professional sports
14:09NFL
14:10NBA
14:11Soccer
14:12Any league
14:13Helping them transition
14:14To life after a sport
14:15So
14:16Really been enjoying that so far
14:18Well that's great
14:19You know
14:20And thanks for joining us
14:21Anytime man
14:22This was a great walk
14:23Jason
14:24There you go
14:25There we go
14:26The shirts
14:27Have you guys ever heard of the
14:29Sidine twins?
14:30No
14:31Are you familiar with them?
14:32They played in the NHL
14:33Their entire career with the Vancouver Canucks
14:35Both of them are in the hall of fame
14:37And they both have almost similar sets
14:40Stats
14:41And there's a video of them
14:43Sitting on the bench together
14:44Where they almost coordinated
14:47Trick
14:48Trick
14:49Put the like
14:50Put the baller baller down
14:51Like synchronized
14:52Like without even thinking
14:53They just grabbed
14:54Put it together
14:55And these guys played
14:56And there's
14:57Both had like
14:58Great great careers
14:59Almost similar stats
15:00Like
15:01That's crazy
15:02Two more assists
15:03Two more goals
15:04And like
15:05They played together
15:06For the Canucks
15:07They're both from Sweden
15:08They were drafted
15:09Two and three
15:10In the 1999 draft
15:12And they played like
15:13Together for the Canucks
15:14For like almost 20 years
15:15See that sucks
15:16I was drafted at 203
15:17He was 27
15:18So we weren't close
15:19He owes me a lot of money
15:20I'll help him get in
15:21We need somebody to give us a chance man
15:22We want to try to recreate that drinking
15:23Hey
15:24Whichever NFL team
15:25Give us a shot
15:26Yeah
15:27Well thanks again
15:28No problem
15:29Bye bye
