00:00You probably think you know your iPhone, but I'm about to prove you wrong.
00:03I've got 21 hacks that will level up your productivity, boost your camera,
00:07hide things you don't want seen, and even make your phone say thank you when you charge it.
00:12Wow, thank you so much, Romina.
00:15Yeah, you're very welcome.
00:17Most of us still tap on each message one by one trying to delete them.
00:21It's not productive at all, so here's what you have to do instead.
00:24Just place your fingers on the screen and swipe up or swipe down, and boom,
00:28everything selects in bulk.
00:30You can do this in iMessages, Notes app, and even voice memos.
00:33That was pretty simple and quick, right?
00:35But we're just warming up.
00:37Have you ever tried editing a typo in the middle of the word
00:39and ended up tapping the wrong letter seven times?
00:43Yeah, I know that's you, but there's of course a hack for that.
00:46When you spot the typo, all you have to do is long press the space bar,
00:49and your keyboard turns into a trackpad.
00:52Now you can slide your finger across the keyboard to move the line
00:55anywhere that you want with 100% accuracy.
00:58And I mean it, it's 100% accurate.
01:01By the way, another cool trick is if you long press the space bar,
01:04then press with your finger on the keyboard,
01:06you can now select whatever you want without triple tapping or double tapping.
01:11Speaking of typos and mistakes,
01:12what if you could erase them all without looking like you're trying to fight a bee?
01:17As we all know, when you want to undo something, you just shake your phone.
01:20But just imagine you're in public, and you're trying to undo something,
01:22and then you start shaking your phone like a crazy person?
01:26Yeah.
01:27No.
01:27I've got a way better hack for that.
01:29So if you accidentally deleted something,
01:31all you have to do is swipe left with three fingers to undo.
01:35But then if you decide to redo that again,
01:37all you have to do is swipe right with three fingers.
01:40If you knew that hack, which I don't think you did,
01:42this one, you definitely don't know.
01:44If you're still the type of person that goes into the calculator app
01:47to add, subtract, multiply, divide,
01:49or goes into Google to convert 50 USD into Euros,
01:53well, after I show you this, you're going to stop.
01:55The easiest way to calculate or convert something
01:57is swipe down on your home screen to open Spotlight.
02:01Type the calculation, for example, 345 times 12,
02:05and you get the answer right away without you needing to open any apps.
02:08And in the same spot, you can say 50 USD to Euros,
02:12and it's going to convert it for you right away.
02:14Now that you're learning some time-saving tips,
02:16how about I show you how to be in control of your nap time?
02:20You know how you wake up every morning to your iPhone alarm?
02:23Then you hit snooze just to get that little extra sleep.
02:26Well, for the longest time,
02:27Apple was in control of how long that snooze time was,
02:31and that was nine minutes.
02:33Why nine? Nobody knows.
02:35But now you can change it to three minutes,
02:37five minutes, 13 minutes, even 15 minutes,
02:40however many minutes you want to nap for
02:42after your alarm wakes you up.
02:44To do that, open the clock app,
02:45tap your alarm,
02:47tap snooze duration,
02:49then pick any time between one and 15 minutes.
02:53And now if you want your phone to wake you up again after five minutes,
02:56and not nine,
02:58you can.
02:58Since we're talking about sleeping,
02:59does any of you go to sleep with music or watching a show?
03:03I actually go to sleep by watching a show,
03:05and it's very relaxing for me.
03:06But then waking up to it at three in the morning?
03:10Yeah, not so much.
03:11I figured out a way how to make my show pause
03:14in the middle of the night without me even waking up.
03:17We're going to go back to the clock app,
03:18hit timer,
03:19then tap on when timer ends,
03:22scroll to the bottom,
03:24and tap on stop playing.
03:25And that's it.
03:26You can now set up a timer for minutes or hours.
03:29And once that timer ends,
03:30your music or your show is going to stop automatically.
03:33That's a really cool hidden feature,
03:34but let's talk about the next one.
03:36Your phone has a hidden button that you don't know about,
03:39or maybe you forgot about it.
03:41And that's the back tap.
03:42Imagine tapping on the back of your phone
03:44to open up the camera app or turn on the flash
03:48or anything else, actually.
03:49Most people don't even know this exists.
03:51So here's how you can turn it on.
03:53Go to settings, accessibility, touch,
03:56scroll all the way down,
03:57and then press on back tap.
03:59You can either set double or triple tap.
04:02If you press on double tap,
04:03you will see all of the features that you can use it for.
04:06Speaking of secret buttons on your iPhone,
04:08there is another secret button
04:10that will stop your phone from lagging.
04:12Well, I think we've all had that before
04:14where our phones just start lagging out of nowhere
04:16and it's so annoying.
04:18All you'll have to do here is clear your RAM.
04:20Go to settings, accessibility,
04:22go to touch,
04:24and then press on assistive touch.
04:25Now turn on your assistive touch
04:27and a button will appear on your screen.
04:29That's the secret button that I was telling you about.
04:31From here, listen very carefully.
04:33You'll have to press the volume up button,
04:34then press volume down button
04:36and hold the lock and the volume button together
04:40until you see this screen.
04:41Do not turn off your phone from here.
04:43Press on the assistive touch button instead,
04:46then press on home
04:47and then click cancel.
04:48This clears up your RAM
04:49and makes your phone go back to normal.
04:52To get rid of the assistive touch button,
04:53all you have to do is go back to settings
04:55and then just turn off assistive touch.
04:57Now, if you want your iPhone
04:58to become even faster after that,
05:00make sure to like this video
05:01and subscribe to my channel first
05:03because you'll thank me
05:04after I show you this tip.
05:05Go to settings, accessibility,
05:07and go to touch.
05:08Click on haptic touch.
05:10Here, your touch duration will be set on default,
05:12but you will want to set it on fast.
05:15But just to demonstrate,
05:16if you go back to default
05:18and test the speed,
05:19this is how long it takes to open up the image.
05:22And now if you switch to fast
05:23and then test the image,
05:25it's so much faster.
05:26Just look at this difference side by side.
05:29We've talked about a lot of hidden features
05:31on your iPhone.
05:32How about I show you something hidden on your camera?
05:34Did you know that your iPhone shoots in 24 megapixels by default
05:39and it can actually do twice more?
05:41If you have a new iPhone
05:42and you take pictures
05:43and then you realize that your pictures for some reason
05:46are not as sharp as other people's pictures.
05:49Yeah, then that's good that you clicked on this video.
05:51To get that 48 megapixel quality,
05:53you just have to enable it.
05:54Go to settings, go to camera,
05:57press on format,
05:58and then turn on resolution control.
06:01Now open the camera app,
06:02tap on the 24 megapixels at the top left corner.
06:05And from here,
06:06you'll be able to switch to 48 megapixels.
06:09Crystal clear photos are great,
06:11but how about a screen
06:12that doesn't dim on you automatically,
06:14especially when you're outside?
06:16The most annoying thing is when you go outside,
06:18it's a beautiful sunny day
06:19and you have your brightness
06:21all the way up on your phone
06:22and you literally cannot see anything on your screen.
06:26And you know it's not because of the sun.
06:28And that's because Apple has these true tone,
06:30out of brightness features
06:31that just dims the phone screen when you most need it.
06:34So let's turn off those features.
06:36Go to settings,
06:37go to display and brightness,
06:38and then turn off true tone.
06:40Then go back to the main settings page,
06:42go to accessibility,
06:44then go to face ID and attention.
06:46Turn off attention awareness.
06:49Then just go back one page
06:51and then go to display and text size,
06:53and then turn off auto brightness.
06:56If you still haven't subscribed
06:57or liked this video after that hack,
06:59what are you doing?
07:00It's only going to get better now.
07:02Texting people that have Android phones
07:04probably feels very weird,
07:06but I'm going to show you
07:06how to make that experience feel a lot more pleasant.
07:09All we have to do is enable RCS messaging.
07:11With RCS messaging,
07:13you can get red receipts,
07:14typing bubbles,
07:15and even send high quality photos all for free.
07:19Yes, I said for free.
07:20Your SIM card carrier does not think of RCS messaging
07:23as text messages.
07:25RCS messaging basically uses your Wi-Fi
07:28or your internet data.
07:29Here's how to turn on this feature.
07:31Go to settings,
07:32scroll down and go to apps.
07:34Find messages app and click on it.
07:36Scroll down a little bit
07:37until you see turn on RCS messaging,
07:39but make sure that your Android friend
07:41also has that feature on.
07:42Now, the next hack may seem very obvious,
07:45but it's not to most of you.
07:46Why type out what's already written down?
07:49Instead, open the notes app,
07:51tap on camera icon,
07:52choose scan text,
07:54then aim the camera at the printed text,
07:56and then tap insert.
07:58That's very easy and saves a lot of time.
08:00Now, what if you left your phone face down
08:02and you're a few steps away from it
08:03and someone starts calling you?
08:05You'd probably run to your phone
08:06to see who's calling you.
08:07What if I told you
08:08you would be able to know
08:09exactly who's calling you
08:11by listening to the vibration of your phone?
08:13So let's create a custom vibration pattern
08:15so you know if it's your mom,
08:17your brother,
08:18your boss,
08:18or even spam calling you.
08:21Go to settings
08:22and then go to sounds and haptics.
08:24Press on rank tone.
08:25From here, tap haptics
08:26and then create new vibration.
08:28And now you can create your own little pattern
08:30for each person that's important to you
08:32and know exactly who's calling you
08:34without even lifting your phone up.
08:36And yes,
08:37you can even set up a pattern for spam callers.
08:40Speaking of spam callers,
08:41why do we even need to waste time
08:42creating different vibration patterns for them
08:45when instead we can just silence them completely?
08:48To do that,
08:48go to settings,
08:49scroll down all the way
08:50and then hit on apps.
08:52Find phone app,
08:53click on it,
08:54and then scroll down
08:55until you find silent spam callers.
08:57And that's it.
08:58Now every time you get a spam call,
09:00it's not going to even show up on your phone.
09:02Now, your phone can do a lot of cool things,
09:04but did you know that it can thank you
09:06or say whatever else
09:07when you put it on charge?
09:09You heard how it thanked me
09:11in the beginning of this video.
09:12To do it yourself,
09:12go to the shortcuts app,
09:14tap on automation,
09:15then create a new automation.
09:17From here,
09:18choose charger,
09:19then select is connected,
09:21and then also select run immediately.
09:23Then press on next,
09:25and then select speak text.
09:26Here you can type whatever phrase that you want.
09:29You can make it thank you
09:30or you can make it tell you a joke.
09:32Honestly,
09:32the possibility of what you want it to say is limitless.
09:35Once your phrase is ready,
09:36just hit done.
09:37And now every time you put your phone on charge,
09:39it will say that phrase.
09:41But what if your iPhone could record a video
09:43with a locked screen?
09:46Yes, it's possible.
09:48And I'm going to show you how.
09:49For this,
09:50go to settings,
09:51go to accessibility,
09:52and then go to accessibility shortcut.
09:54Scroll down and then press on voiceover.
09:57Make sure that it's checkmarked.
09:58Then go to the camera app,
09:59and then go to video mode.
10:01You're going to have to triple press the side button,
10:03and that will turn on the voiceover function.
10:05And then to record,
10:06you're going to have to press on one of the volume buttons.
10:08And to hide that you're recording,
10:10all you have to do is triple tap the screen with three fingers.
10:13And if you want to stop the secret recording,
10:15all you have to do is just repeat all the steps,
10:17but backwards.
10:18Pretty cool, right?
10:19You can now be a spy or just a creepy person.
10:23Please don't be a creepy person.
10:25What if I told you that you can actually hide
10:26even more on your iPhone?
10:28You can now hide an entire page on your home screen
10:31without doing it one by one for each app.
10:34All you have to do is long press on the home screen,
10:37tap on the page dots,
10:38and then uncheck the pages you want to hide.
10:41Don't worry,
10:42those apps are not going to get deleted.
10:43They're just moved to the app library.
10:45Now that I cleaned up your home screen,
10:46how about I help you clean out your browser?
10:48You know how you're reading an article on Safari,
10:50and you get so many ads in that article,
10:54but you can make them disappear like this.
10:56In Safari,
10:57tap on this icon,
10:58then tap on hide distracting content.
11:01Then whatever ad that you're seeing,
11:02you can tap on the ad and then hide.
11:05It's literally like magic,
11:06and it works every single time.
11:08Now, ads might not seem like a big problem to you,
11:10so you may not even use that feature,
11:12but I definitely know that you will start using this airdrop feature.
11:16You know,
11:16airdrop is great,
11:18until it's not.
11:21Sometimes airdrop fails,
11:22or it's way too slow.
11:24To avoid fails,
11:25and transfer content faster,
11:26all you have to do is plug your iPhone
11:28into the receiving device with a USB-C to USB-C cable,
11:32and then just use airdrop as usual.
11:34That will make sure that your airdrop does not fail you,
11:37and it will transfer your content twice faster.
11:40Isn't that amazing?
11:41Finally,
11:42this is my absolute favorite hack ever.
11:45You can literally play Fortnite or Call of Duty
11:48with a controller on your phone,
11:50and you don't need an Xbox or a PS5.
11:53When I play Fortnite,
11:54I literally do it from my phone
11:55because it's literally the same thing,
11:57and the best part of it is that it's portable.
11:59All you need to bring with you
12:00is your iPhone and a controller.
12:01To get the setup,
12:02all you have to do is go to Settings,
12:04press on Bluetooth,
12:06then press on the Pairing button on your controller,
12:09and start the Pairing mode.
12:10Your controller is going to appear on your phone,
12:12so press to connect.
12:14And now when you successfully connected it,
12:15you can enjoy your favorite games
12:17with a controller on your phone.
12:19Who knew that this little thing
12:20would be able to do so much?
12:22So yeah,
12:23now you know a lot more about your iPhone.
12:25If you even learned one thing in this video,
12:27hit the Like button.
12:28And if you learned five new things,
12:29then hit that Subscribe button.
12:30And if your phone just said a phrase
12:32when you started charging it,
12:33let me know in the comments what it said.
12:35Oh yeah!
12:35Also, share this video with a friend
12:37who still shakes their phone to undo
12:39because they need us.
