00:00Any rise in prices is obviously a concern for households and for businesses but the truth is that the price of gas is still 75% higher than it was before the invasion of Ukraine and we're still paying the price for that. That's the fossil fuel penalty of us being tied as a country far too closely to gas prices and that's why as a government we're driving forward as fast as possible to remove that volatility of gas and to deliver clean homegrown secure power that will bring down bills but also make sure that we're delivering on our energy security.
00:29And we're also taking action as a government to support the most vulnerable households this winter so more than 2 million more households will receive ÂŁ150 in the warm homes discount to make sure that those who will struggle to pay bills the most get the support to do that. But everything we're doing as a government is to move as fast as possible to remove that volatility of gas prices so that we bring down bills for good.
