00:00Morning, I'm Superintendent Mark James, the Gold Commander for Operation Duxford today,
00:04which is back in Barnsley. Duxford today is going to see over 170 officers out in Barnsley
00:09dealing with the priorities and the concerns of the local community. Priorities and concerns
00:14that they have raised to us through intelligence and information. Already today those 170 officers
00:19in conjunction with partners, volunteer agencies and other people who support SYP, we have
00:26seized a number of Class A drugs, we've seized a number of weapons that have been used on
00:31the streets in offences and we've arrested and processed a number of people. We'll continue
00:36doing that through the rest of the day and publish results in due course. The most important
00:40thing is we're out there in public, highly visible, dealing with the concerns of the residents
00:46and communities of Barnsley. We're also out there to talk to people today and show them
00:50the work of all of the emergency services and our partners that keeps them safe on a day-to-day
00:55basis even though at times it's not as visible as it is today. This is a crucial element of
01:00what we do. The whole point of today is to reassure our communities, the public and our partners
01:07that we're out there for them doing the things that they want in a way that is in the grandest
01:12traditions of SYP.
