00:31announced the layoffs in an internal memo to staff on Wednesday morning.
00:34Before the release of a Minecraft movie, the duo had come under intense scrutiny earlier this year
00:39after a string of box office misses like Mickey 17.
00:43The memo reads in part,
00:57Meanwhile, the studio's recently released film Superman now ranks alongside a Minecraft movie
01:11and Sinners as one of the top five domestic box office earners of 2025.
01:16Its current domestic haul is $292 million,
01:18and it's crossed the $500 million mark globally.
