Like the men, the result for the ladies was also disappointing despite a ton from captain Hayley Matthews.

This as the West Indies went under to England by eight wickets in the opening women's T20 in Canterbury.

The ladies in maroon made 146 for 7, with exactly 100 not out from Matthews.

In reply, England reached 150 for 2, with 21 balls to spare to lead the three-match series 1-0.
