00:00We have a huge update in the Robert Brooks case today.
00:03This is where 13 New York State Correctional Officers stopped on him,
00:07choked him, and beat him to death, all while his hands were cut behind his back.
00:12And they didn't know that one of the body cameras was actually recording while on standby mode.
00:17And that's why the entire world got to see what New York State Correctional Officers do
00:21when they think nobody's watching. And finally, New York State Correctional Officers will be held
00:26accountable for their actions because one of those officers today plead guilty to manslaughter in the
00:31first degree. And he testified that his co-defendants all participated in this as well, and that they
00:37lied about it in the aftermath. So he, on August 4th, right, his name is Christopher Walrath,
00:43will be sentenced to 15 years in New York State Prison. Now he'll serve a minimum of 12 and a half
00:48years, but he won't be sentenced until August 4th, and he remains free on bond until then,
00:53which I think is crazy. What do you think?
