00:00George, you're facing the same conversation in the foreground.
00:05So in that sense, will you lose that loop?
00:08You don't have much time to take off a few 10-star pressure.
00:12Yeah, absolutely. I think, you know, it's quite an unreal schedule this few days.
00:17We play them again, well, tomorrow now.
00:19So, yeah, it's something different.
00:22But I think, you know, the way we went about it in the field, I think, is a huge positive.
00:25To take, you know, I think it was five wickets, put them under a little bit of pressure,
00:29they're chasing a small total.
00:30I think we can take that momentum into the next game, which is obviously pretty soon.
00:34So, yeah, we've got something out of the game.
00:38Josh, you came into the season of the lack of, you know,
00:41having recovered from an injury concern that you've worked with.
00:45Through the season, obviously, you've played all the games,
00:48but can you just give us an insight into the way you played,
00:51the way you managed yourself, you know, away from the matches?
00:55Yeah, I think, obviously, leading into the tournament,
00:58it was rehab and gym work and getting that running back up and going.
01:02And then in the last few weeks beforehand, it was the bowling side of things.
01:05And then I think I've just felt better as the tournament's gone on, really.
01:09Done quite a bit of work in the nets.
01:11And I think the games, I just feel better in my run-up and at the crease
01:15with every game that comes.
01:17So hopefully that continues.
01:19Still doing a fair bit of work on the rehab side of things,
01:22but everything's feeling really good and hopefully stays that way.
01:26Yes?
01:27Josh, it's three in a row, not more hanging from the track.
01:30You are struggling at one, I think he's struggling at one.
01:32What is it?
01:33It's preventing the team from getting the role of the finish man?
01:36Are you more, sort of, are you more confident playing away from home?
01:40Given that there's back in perspective at home game?
01:43Yeah, we've obviously done well, pretty well away from home.
01:46Yeah, it's obviously three in a row now.
01:48We've lost at home from three games.
01:50Yeah, it's just, we've probably been a bit slow on the learnings
01:54from the first two games and didn't put that into practice
01:57as well as we could have today.
01:58Probably in particular in those first, probably six to eight overs,
02:01obviously with the score the way it was.
02:03So, again, we'll dive into this game and, you know,
02:07probably more so when we get back to Bangalore
02:09and really go through in detail and with a fine tooth comb
02:12and come up with a few ideas of where we can learn and improve.
02:15I think the bowling definitely improved from the last two outings.
02:18So, sort of, we're slow they're getting there,
02:21but probably not quick enough.
02:22So, and to win a toss would be nice as well.
02:26Yes.
02:27Hi, Josh.
02:28It's all part of you on the learnings,
02:30the repeat of the whole part.
02:31Have your opponents apprised the battles,
02:33especially about how we can pitch the player
02:36and how this team all needs to serve?
02:38Yeah, I think it's not a typical Chinnasuami wicket.
02:41Obviously the bounce has always been there,
02:43but in past years it's probably been more consistent.
02:47I find if you really hit the wicket hard on that six to eight metres,
02:50it's quite tough to bat and we've found that.
02:53So, maybe it might be a case of pulling back a touch
02:56and having a look, giving yourself a little bit of time.
02:59I know in the first two games we lost here,
03:01it was, you know, a batter on the other team going big
03:04and getting a partnership and getting, you know,
03:06scoring big late in the game.
03:08So, if we can have our, you know, top five, top six
03:10doing the batting for the 20 overs,
03:12I think that'll go a long way to helping us win.
03:15Joshua, it was six to eight until then, right?
03:18But that doesn't seem...
03:19that seems to be working everywhere else as well.
03:21So, how important has that been for you?
03:23And at what point have you changed up to see
03:25Massimo taking things out?
03:27Yeah, I think it's just about trying to read the play,
03:31read the batter.
03:32I think sometimes you get that sense
03:34that they're either going to come at you or sit deep
03:36and you can just...
03:37just subtle changes of that length can make a big impact.
03:42And obviously there's been games where we've gone to Yorkers at the death,
03:46such as Mumbai and places like that.
03:48So, I think the bowling attack's highly skilled.
03:51I think Sue Ash, again, was unlucky tonight.
03:53He bowled exceptional.
03:54Could have had a few wickets.
03:55So, confident in the bowling group.
03:58They're great to work with.
03:59I think the depth and the variety is really good.
04:02But yeah, it's just, I think, trying to sense the batter
04:05and what mindset he's had
04:07and just those subtle changes when required.
04:10Let me do one last question.
04:12Josh, just on today, the first six, seven overs that you spoke about,
04:17you were sitting out in the...
04:19What was going on?
04:20Was there no active thing?
04:21Was there 24?
04:22Was it still necessary to go hard?
04:24What was the matter?
04:25Yeah, potentially I think it just could have been that balance
04:27of how hard to go.
04:28I know 14 overs is obviously shorter than 20,
04:31but it's still, I guess, have a look at a few balls
04:34and take your time a little bit.
04:35It's hard.
04:36I mean, it's hard.
04:37I'm never in that batting position.
04:39So, yeah, it's probably a better question, you know,
04:43pointed at a couple of those guys.
04:44But I think they'll definitely learn.
04:46We've seen in the away games, they've batted beautifully
04:48and we've chased, we've set totals.
04:50So, no doubt, we'll bounce back tomorrow
04:53and we'll come out again.
04:55Yeah.
04:56My question.
04:57Josh, what's the point of interest that you feel
04:59about this city goal you've had on the whole
05:02as compatible one that you gave with previously?
05:05I think previously, obviously I didn't play last year,
05:09so I haven't played with the impact player before until this year.
05:11And I think, you know, you can afford to have five frontline bowlers
05:14a lot of the time.
05:15So, I think we've got enough variety there as well,
05:19with Livingston as well, bowling, you know,
05:21off-spin and leg-spin adds one to the bowl as well.
05:23But I think just the highly-skilled Quicks in particular, I think,
05:27to bowl with someone like Boovie who's been around for so long,
05:30so skilful at the start and at the end,
05:32it's great to learn from as well.
05:34But I think just the variety, we're all a little bit different,
05:36complement each other really well.
05:38So, yeah, it's exciting.
05:40Thanks so much.
05:41Thanks so much.
