Residents evacuated in early hours as London electrical substation bursts into flames

Residents were evacuated in the early hours after an electrical substation burst into flames in Hayes, west London.

Jonathan Blower filmed the massive fire just before midnight on 20 March.

The blaze caused a power outage affecting 20,000 homes and forced Heathrow Airport to close.

Emergency services brought the fire under control, but many residents were left without electricity.

Major travel disruption is expected in the coming days.
