In November 2024, Bravo announced 'Vanderpump Rules' would be rebooting its cast with fresh faces after an explosive season 11 finale, a production break and months of speculation. At the time, a source told PEOPLE that the network felt they needed to move on with a new group because there were “so many fractions” among the cast. Either way, “I don’t think I was ever going to go back to Vanderpump Rules. That’s the first time I’ve ever said that publicly, but I was never going to,” Ariana Madix reveals.

00:00Oh, I don't think I was ever gonna go back to Vanderpump Rules.
00:04That's the first time I've ever said that publicly, but I was never going to.
00:08Not in any sort of, like, rude way, not in a way where it feels, like,
00:12not in a professional, like, we don't need this, not in a, I'm too good for this,
00:16but just in a way of, like, it just didn't feel, like, right.
00:20And if I did go back, I wouldn't have been able to do the job that would make a good show.
00:27And so it just wasn't gonna make sense, you know, the story didn't make sense.
00:34You know, we had that break, and, you know, I just feel like my mental health has come so far,
00:40and I feel like I would have been putting myself in a situation where I would,
00:43it just seems like all the work I had done mentally on myself would just kind of be,
00:48you know, going backwards.
00:50When the new season of Vanderpump Rules comes out, do you think you'll be watching?
00:54Maybe, but I typically don't watch reality shows of that nature because they stress me out.
01:02I love my competition shows, but I struggle to watch shows like that because, yeah,
01:08there's something about them that gives me, like, high anxiety watching them.
01:13Maybe.
