Drilon campaigns for Bam Aquino, Kiko Pangilinan  Former Senate president Franklin Drilon says he is indebted to the Aquino family as he appeals to the Ilonggos to vote for senatorial aspirant Bam Aquino.  Drilon joined former senators Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan during their campaign in Iloilo City on March 6, 2025. Drilon, an Ilonggo, was appointed to several key positions during the administration of the late president Corazon Aquino.  In 1986, he became the deputy minister of Labor and Industrial Relations, Labor secretary and from 1987 to 1990, Justice secretary in 1990 and executive secretary in 1991. 00:00I was a senator and senate president because of the U.N.

00:24The reason most of the improvements that I brought here is because of the support of Pinoy and Korean.

00:36So, my debt to the Pinoy family is huge.

00:40I want to tell you that I will not pay my debt to the Pinoy family by voting for Bang Akino and bringing him to the Senate.

00:53So, in my opinion, other qualified people can stand toe-to-toe with anyone in this field.

01:04They can stand toe-to-toe to compare how they have performed in the past to be entitled of your support.

01:13I suspect that the reason why the president is not calling a special session is political.

01:23Why? Because it doesn't take much intelligence.

01:28You do the trial of the impeachment court before the election, all these guys are subject to pressure.

01:37Subject to pressure from all sides.

01:40Now, who would have the greatest influence would probably be able to get the result that they want.

01:52So, is that a fair situation? No.

01:56My thinking is that the trial and the decision should take place after the election.

02:04The people will be defeated if the trial takes place before the election.

02:11Because the decision of the impeachment court before the election does not necessarily reflect the evidence presented.

02:20But the political pressure and consideration that goes with the decision that each central judge will make.
