00:00I mean, I think that this is going to be complicated and it's going to take time.
00:03Of course, we have to respect the fact that Donald Trump has his own mandate, which is
00:06for a quick deal.
00:07He wants peace.
00:09We all want peace.
00:10The Ukrainians want peace.
00:11But it must be a lasting peace, and it must be stable.
00:14And so I think the crucial thing is this, that when the prime minister goes to the White
00:18House, he has to communicate that the last thing we need is a settlement which in any
00:21way is seen as a win for Russia, because if that happens, actually that will send a terrible
00:25signal to China and will be bad for the U.S. and all NATO members.
00:30I think it's in all our interests for us to get a proper peace.
00:33And should there be a settlement, it must be one that's good for Ukraine.
00:37Let's not forget, Ukraine is the country that was invaded without provocation by an aggressive
00:43dictator.
00:44It's a free, sovereign democracy.
00:45So we stand by them.
00:46That's why we as conservatives in government stood by them in the outbreak of the war.
00:49And we've stood by Labour in continuing to support Ukraine.
00:52And my final point is, you know, we're nearly at the three-year anniversary.
00:54We must all remember the war is still ongoing and we've still got to keep supporting Ukraine.
