00:00Various kinds of smuggled high-end luxury cars were smuggled into a warehouse in Makati

00:05as part of an expensive motorcycle worth more than Php 360 million.

00:11The Bucor was involved.

00:12This is the story of D.M. Manalo.

00:16The Bureau of Customs, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service,

00:22and the Manila International Container Port were involved in smuggling a warehouse in Makati City.

00:26Various kinds of smuggled high-end luxury cars were smuggled into a warehouse in Makati

00:32as part of an expensive motorcycle worth more than Php 360 million.

00:38We received information that there were smuggled,

00:43suspected smuggled that did not pay their duties and taxes

00:47and were hidden or displayed here in Makati.

00:50We conducted surveillance and we validated that we saw supercars.

00:56The Letter of Authority, or LOA, asked the owner of the warehouse

01:00to investigate if the cars were legitimate

01:03and if they were sure that they were being paid their dues.

01:07The owner of the warehouse was given 15 days

01:10to submit the proof of payment of the cars' duties and taxes.

01:15But if they are found guilty,

01:17they may face a case of violation of Republic Act 10863

01:22or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

01:24The BOC will also recommend that they be issued a Warrant of Seizure and Detention, or WSD,

01:29and that the cars be towed and brought to the Bureau of Customs.

01:34If we find out that there are smuggled goods there,

01:37we will immediately act on it and validate it.

01:39And when we operate the place,

01:43we will see that all of them will be towed or seized by the Bureau of Customs.

01:47Some may remember that the BOC also entered the warehouse in Pasay and Paranaque City,

01:53where various smuggled luxury vehicles worth P1.4 billion were confiscated.
