00:00to tie the record here to do it on alumni weekend.
00:04Is that a motivating factor at all?
00:08I mean, we want to win every game.
00:09I mean, we wanted to win those games in California.
00:11They just didn't go our way.
00:12And so obviously, our next game, we want to win.
00:18And to have it on alumni weekend and for coach's record at here,
00:23that just kind of puts a cherry on top.
00:26We're going to get this win for coach,
00:28and we're going to get this win for the alumni.
00:30We're going to get it for what we couldn't accomplish out west.
00:35But it's on our minds every single game
00:37that we're going to win this one for coach.
00:40And we're also going to win it for the alums
00:42and for all the people supporting us.
00:43What does it take to end a pretty streak like this?
00:46What does it take when you've got all this pressure?
00:51It actually gives a lot more than it takes.
00:53It gives us more motivation.
00:55It lights a fire for us that, hey, we're not invincible.
01:01And sometimes, those are the moments
01:02that you need in order to win championships.
01:04Sometimes, you need to get knocked down
01:07so you can learn how to pick yourself up.
01:09And that's something that I feel like
01:11is going to be very helpful for every single player and coach
01:16and staff member in this program is how to pick yourself up
01:19when you lose to a lot of people.
01:22And we're in the process of picking ourselves up right now.
01:26And I'm excited to see what we do on Saturday.
01:28So this team, Jackson, what do you
01:30think are the takeaways from that trip?
01:32There's a new position for you guys losing two in a row.
01:34So on the other side of that, what
01:35are the lessons or takeaways about moving forward?
01:40We need to, let's see.
01:45We need to get back to playing physical basketball.
01:48We need to make sure that we're not the ones getting hit.
01:50We need to be people hitting first.
01:54And we have to make sure that we take care of the ball.
01:56Turnovers was something that we kind of struggled with.
01:59And we just need to do better.
02:02And we learn from these experiences
02:05and just try to do better the next game.
02:07And mostly, it just shows us that any given night,
02:12you can lose.
02:13Any given night, things can not go your way.
02:16But how you respond is what shows character.
02:20And we just have to make sure that we bounce back
02:24for Saturday's game.
02:26If you can't play, how much does that change your lineup?
02:28I know you guys are a good team, but what
02:31he brings to the floor?
02:33I think, I hope he'll be back.
02:36I know he wasn't in practice today, but I think he'll be.
02:39I mean, I'm not sure.
02:40I didn't know he was sick until practice.
02:42But with him out, he's obviously a huge part of our team.
02:49And it's going to hurt us.
02:51And we wish him a speedy recovery,
02:54because we need him every game.
02:56And we need his scoring.
02:57We need his athleticism.
02:58We need his rebounding.
03:01And I really hope he'll be back.
03:05But we just have to adapt and adjust.
03:09And we just have to go out there and play the best we can.
03:13And we'll also win this one for book if we can't play.
03:16Yeah, I guess the post-rotation right now, I mean,
03:20you guys, between your foul trouble out there and Shannon
03:25getting hurt, you guys kind of in some ways
03:27had that three-man rotation throughout.
03:29Is that the depth and versatility
03:32that you guys have in the post?
03:33How much does that have an impact on this game
03:36in particular, with Oregon wanting to run and get out
03:40and go?
03:46You know what I mean?
03:47You're not stuck with, you guys can mix and match
03:50and get athletic versus Palm and Paint, 2-1-1.
03:54Yeah, I've said this before, I forgot what game.
03:58But I have 100% confidence in all our bigs
04:02and all of our rotations that our bigs
04:04can guard any other bigs.
04:06And we can guard anyone in this conference.
04:08And whether they play fastball or whether they
04:12have a very dominant center or whatever,
04:14they're more athletic, I truly believe
04:16that we have the guys that can guard and be a difference
04:21maker on defense and rebounds.
04:23And we have guys to do that.
04:26So I'm not worried about the other guys.
04:30I'm just helping make sure that all of our guys
04:33are ready to play.
04:35Cool.
04:35Thanks, guys.
