The neglectful mother of four sons who died in a house fire after she left them home alone to go shopping has been jailed for ten years.Deveca Rose, 30, was convicted of four counts of manslaughter after the deaths of her sons, aged three and four, on the evening of December 16 2021.She had gone to Sainsbury, leaving her two sets of twins - Leyton and Logan Hoath, aged three, and four-year-olds Kyson and Bryson Hoath – without parental supervision at the locked rented home in Sutton, south-west London.A fire broke out and the boys were trapped inside, dying from smoke inhalation as they desperately hid under their beds upstairs.

00:00Today marks the end of the three-year ordeal Bryce and Kyson, Leighton and Logan Cove were

00:08cruelly taken from us in a senseless act of negligence by their mother, Javica Rose. This

00:13regard she showed towards our boys has been echoed throughout this whole trial and our

00:18family have had to endure three years of lies, delays and false narratives. This time has

00:23been a nightmare and the toll it's taken on our family cannot be overstated. We've heard

00:28speculation that the fire was caused by lights on the Christmas tree, false claims that the

00:33boys were left with a babysitter. We thank the jury for seeing past that and delivering

00:37us a true verdict. Bryce and Kyson, Leighton and Logan were left alone by their mother,

00:42Javica Rose, and she has been found to be responsible for their deaths. Bryce and Kyson,

00:49Leighton and Logan were beautiful, loving children who did not deserve this. The impact

00:53they made on us in their short lives cannot be measured and will never be forgotten. We

00:58miss them every day and will always hold them in our heart. While there will be better days

01:04to come, the hole that has been left by our children's deaths cannot be filled. Our family

01:10would now like to take some time to heal and let the boys rest. We wish to thank the courts,

01:15the members of the jury and our fabulous police investigation team for the work they have

01:20done to ensure that the boys' story is heard and that they have justice and justice has been done.
