Queensland has sweltered through another day of soaring temperatures, as a severe heatwave swept much of the state. After weeks of wet and wild weather, residents in the south-east are reporting an explosion in the growth of mould.

01:01But that was nothing compared to the temperature at Birdsville, 46.5 degrees.
01:07And the heat is forecast to stick around until Friday before it breaks this weekend.
