00:00Hello there, welcome to the third installation of putting Dr. G on the spot in the year of 2025
00:06when we all have a lot of new year resolution in order to enhance for the betterment of our health.
00:12One of the way to enhance for the betterment of health in men
00:16is to improve the testosterone and the libido.
00:19So the testosterone is produced by men and that sometimes is called the fountain of youth
00:30because it gives you a lot of things. It gives you sexual libido, energy level,
00:35risk-taking behavior, stronger bones and stronger muscles.
00:39So as we get older, testosterone will deteriorate and that is a natural fact of life.
00:44So how is your lifestyle and diet going to change all that?
00:48In fact, it's quite simple. As far as the lifestyle is concerned,
00:52there are five things that you need to consider.
00:54Number one is sleep. Because testosterone is produced in a circadian cycle,
00:59if your sleep is interrupted, then testosterone is definitely interrupted.
01:03Therefore, getting enough sleep of seven hours and above is definitely good for your testosterone.
01:09Number two, exercise. Exercise will get the circulation going
01:13and will definitely get your testosterone up.
01:16So get at least 30 minutes of that cardiovascular exercise
01:20and definitely is good for your testosterone health.
01:23Number three, hydration. Dehydration will cause cellular damage
01:28and therefore increase on your fluid intake up to two and a half liters is always very good.
01:34Number four, stress reduction. Of course, stress can suppress the production of testosterone
01:40and definitely not so good for those cells in the testicle that produce testosterone.
01:45And number five is your diet. So let's go into the diet.
01:50In fact, I summarize it for you for the A, B, C, D, E of good testosterone.
01:56In fact, there is an F as well.
01:58Number one, A. A actually is increase your intake of avocado.
02:03Because avocado contains a lot of antioxidants and also a type of components called boron,
02:10B-R-O-N, is particularly good for the testosterone production.
02:15Number two, it's berries. Berries contains a lot of antioxidants
02:20and that will suppress cellular damage in the testicle
02:23and then that will enhance testosterone in production.
02:26And that includes pomegranate and also berries
02:30that you eat for your breakfast and the rest of the day.
02:33Number three is actually cocoa. Cocoa actually contains a lot of things such as selenium.
02:39So people talk about chocolate being aphrodisiac.
02:42In fact, there's a lot of truth in that.
02:45Number five, D stands for dark leaf or dark green vegetables.
02:52And these include broccolis and choy sum.
02:55And all these vegetables also contains antioxidant, magnesium and selenium.
03:01Particularly useful.
03:02We're on D now. We're in E.
03:05Actually, A contains a lot of good protein, omega-3 and selenium, also particularly good.
03:11And F is fatty fish and shellfish.
03:15And all these are rich in selenium and also protein that's good for your testosterone production.
03:21For the following week, we're going to talk about a very important subject of reducing smoking.
03:27I'm going to tell you about the harm that smoking is doing to your sex life and reproductive life.
03:34And how reduction of smoking as a good new year resolution
03:38is going to enhance your sexual life and also reproductive health.
03:42Stay tuned for next week's Putting Dr G on the Spot.
