00:00Hey there, it's Chloe from afar. I'm a big believer that any travel destination can also
00:07be a solo travel destination. And this is coming from somebody who's backpacked through
00:10Europe alone, and has even solo road trips across the US. But there are just some places
00:15that feel like they were made for solo travelers. And if you're thinking of taking a trip by
00:19yourself sometime soon, here's some of the best places to consider.
00:29If you're traveling alone and love to eat, Japan is a no-brainer. The country knows how
00:32to cater to solo diners with single-seater booths and counter seats being super common
00:36in the country. You can get lost in the lively food stalls and nightlife of Osaka, or enjoy
00:40some peaceful alone time on the Kawanokodo Trail on Japan's Honshu Island.
00:45Traveling solo doesn't mean you have to be alone the whole time, and what better place
00:47to make friends than New Orleans? Saying hi goes a long way in this friendly city, and
00:52you'll find new connections everywhere, whether you're chatting with someone at a jazz festival
00:55or having a communal dinner at the Mosquito Supper Club.
00:58Iceland's got so much for solo travelers who are also digital nomads. The country offers
01:03a remote work visa that allows you up to six months of the country. If you're looking for
01:06a base, Reykjavik is great for remote workers looking to do cool stuff outside of their
01:109-to-5, like chasing the northern lights or going whale watching.
01:15California's Highway 1, which people also call the Pacific Coast Highway, is a legendary
01:19road trip. It's a trip many solo travelers, including me, love because there are just
01:24so many ways to customize the trip to your liking, whether you want to check out the
01:27smaller surf towns in Southern California or the redwoods up north.
01:32Safety is a big concern for many solo female travelers, and according to the 2023 Women
01:36Peace and Security Index, Denmark happens to be the safest country for women. Travel
01:40to its capital, Copenhagen, and you can explore Danish culture through all of its bakeries,
01:45natural wine bars, and incredible biking culture.
01:49If you want a solo hiking adventure, hike Somme, or all of the 500-mile El Camino de
01:54Santiago. It's a pilgrimage route that goes from France to northern Spain and tons of
01:57travelers go alone every year. Prepare to become friends with fellow hikers along the
02:01way and find and enjoy some incredible views of northern Spain.
02:06Australia is amazing for adventurous travelers making their first solo trip. It's safe,
02:10easy to navigate, and the natural beauty here is incredible. Best of all, first-time solo
02:13travelers from the US don't have to worry about a language barrier when planning an
02:17excursion to see those cute polkas on Rottnest Island or go scuba diving in the Great Barrier
02:21Reef.
02:23And that's the video! I can't recommend solo travel enough to you guys. I know I sound
02:27a little cheesy, but solo travel has really made me so much more self-confident and comfortable
02:32being by myself. Have you been to any of the places that we've listed in our video? Comment
02:36down below. Thanks for watching and happy travels!
