Dolce&Gabbana pays tribute to Italian history and culture in Paris exhibition
Italian couture house Dolce&Gabbana is set to open a new exhibition featuring 200 original creations in Paris on Jan.10, 2025 in the capital’s iconic Grand Palais exhibition hall. Mixing past and current collections, curators chose pieces reminiscent of Italian paintings, antique mosaics and aristocratic garments. Each room embodies a specific historical period, geographical area or cultural feature of Italy that infused the work of Dolce and Gabbana. The famous duo started their couture adventure after successfully launching a pret-a-porter brand in 1985. The Paris exhibition will last until March 31.

01:50This moment is very significant for Dolce & Gabbana
01:53because it's the first time they are presenting in Paris, ever.
01:58They have never shown their collection in Paris.
02:02They have always presented their collection in Italy,
02:07in Milan, or in the different places
02:11where the collection was inspired,
02:14like, you know, Firenze, like Venezia, like Palermo.
02:20It means it's like a patchwork.
02:22It means each piece has been cut and sewn together.
02:27Then it's really very, very difficult work to achieve.
