00:00Today we are gathered for the Major Services Officer Candidate Course Joint
00:06Graduation Ceremony. This marks a significant occasion as we celebrate not
00:14just an end but the commencement of the vital roles that you, our graduates, will
00:21play within the Armed Forces of the Philippines. To my parents, Mama Catrin
00:28and Daddy Melissio, thank you very much for being supportive and loving as always.
00:34I hope I continue to make you proud. Rest assured that I will continuously uphold
00:40the values you taught me and be humble yet passionate in all my endeavors. It is
00:47with great pride and humility that I stand before you today. I may not be the
00:52smartest nor the strongest but I am 100% sure that my dedication and
00:58persistence have brought me to this moment. I want to emphasize that hard
01:03work and consistency can triumph over mere talent. Looking back on the training
01:10we had, the challenges almost made us give up but we stood up and fight for
01:15our dreams.
01:28All those challenges made us wiser, stronger and bolder. It has been a
01:38transformative journey for us to emerge as leaders of excellence with a bright
01:43character to lead with valor, live with integrity and to fulfill our duty. Our
01:50journey is just beginning and we know that the challenges ahead will be great.
01:55As we step into our new roles as officers in the Armed Forces of the
01:59Philippines, we must uphold the high standards of discipline expected from us.
02:04We must be able to quickly grasp the militarist chain of commands, traditions
02:10and ethical guidelines critical in our transition to our new leadership roles.
02:15Let us stand drum roll straight and doing the right thing to defend the
02:21Constitution that we hold dearly as patriotic citizens. Lastly, we must
02:27remember that every decision we make, every order we give and every life we
02:33touch reflects not only on ourselves but on the values of the Armed Forces of the
02:39Philippines. All glory are yours, Almighty Father.
02:43Matagotagotakwamin at mabuhay ang sandatang lakas ng Pilipinas.
