00:00A friend of mine called me and said hey a little dog has been abandoned here on the beach.
00:06So I went down there and there was this little dog.
00:19I slowly worked on gaining her trust.
00:25I did manage to throw a towel over her.
00:30She ended up actually being really quiet once I had her in my arms.
00:40It was quite a crazy drive. Bali traffic can be super super crazy.
00:45You really just want to get to the vet as fast as possible.
00:49Malia was malnourished, dehydrated, she had skin infections.
00:56You could really tell she's traumatized.
01:08We took her home and cared for her at home.
01:12To protect that super super sensitive skin she had to wear some clothes at the beginning.
01:19Then she started to flourish and become a happy doggy.
01:25Once she got better we took her on some trips just to show her the world.
01:43It really helped her to get out of that shell.
01:47It was really so nice to see when the first hair started growing back and we're like oh my gosh
01:59look there's a little patch here growing a little patch there.
02:02The fluffier she got the more she really looked like a different dog.

02:19My friend Andrew showed interest in her right away and wound up adopting her when she was ready.
02:24He was never a dog dad before and I was like all right I become a dog dad.

02:52I mean it genuinely but she's so adorable.
