00:00Kansas City, who has won two consecutive Super Bowls.
00:08Three Lombardi trophies in the last five years, attempting to make history this
00:12season.
00:12No team has ever won three consecutive Super Bowls.
00:15No team that has won two consecutive Super Bowls has ever even reached
00:20a third straight Super Bowl appearance.
00:23KC is trying to do that at the end of eight weeks.
00:27They're the only unbeaten team.
00:29Somehow, some way, and of course, they are the short Super Bowl favorites
00:33to win another Lombardi trophy this season.
00:36The number right now for Kansas City stands at plus 420.
00:40Actually, a little bit of movement based on where these odds were earlier
00:44this morning, but still the shortest number out there.
00:47More than half a dollar in front of the Lions.
00:50Detroit's second best price.
00:52We'll talk about the Lions in just a little bit.
00:54And the Baltimore Ravens at plus 650.
00:57Scott, I don't really think there's an argument to say Kansas City is not
01:00deserving of the shortest Super Bowl price to be that favorite here at the
01:05midway point of the NFL season.
01:07I think the question around Kansas City is, can they cash that ticket?
01:11Can they have the chance to cash that ticket playing in a third straight
01:15Super Bowl?
01:16Are they the best team in the NFL at this current juncture?
01:20I'd say yes.
01:21We brought this up, Ben, a few weeks back when they were five to one.
01:24And you're right, they were four to one.
01:26Last show I gave you on Moneyline, me and George, we talked about it.
01:29They were four to one.
01:30So I don't know how they bumped up to plus 420.
01:33I mean, seems to me the boys in Vegas, I can't believe I'm gonna say this,
01:36actually want you to bet Kansas City.
01:38You'd think it would be the other way around.
01:39You'd think they would put that number at maybe three to water plus 250 and
01:44have people say, what's the point?
01:46I might as well just wait for them to get to the postseason.
01:49But at four and change, that's still a pretty good price.
01:52And I reason it like I did a few weeks back when we talked about it.
01:56The AFC championship game, it's got to go through Kansas City.
02:00Unless something drastic happens, Baltimore is already lost to them.
02:05So they're not going to be able to catch them.
02:07They play Houston, but Houston's three back.
02:09They play Buffalo.
02:10Buffalo would be the one, but I don't think Buffalo is really on that level.
02:13I really don't.
02:15And anyway, you would still need Kansas City to lose some games,
02:17even if they lost head to head to their Buffalo game earlier.
02:20So you got to believe it's got to go through Kansas City.
02:23They're got to get the buy.
02:24So you only have to win two games to get to the Super Bowl.
02:27You want to give me four and change for a team like that?
02:29I'll take that.
02:30Knowing I could hedge once they get to the Super Bowl.
02:33Yeah.
02:34And Scott, we'll see, right?
02:35Kansas City to remain perfect the entirety of the year,
02:39going to be tremendously difficult.
02:41But starting eight and O and being the last undefeated team gives you such
02:46a leg up in terms of having that best record in your conference.
02:51KC now minus 420 to be the number one overall seed in the AFC.
02:56And again, Scott, if there was ever a year to knock the Chiefs off their perch,
03:00perhaps it was last year when the Chiefs did not have the opening round by and
03:04had to play two road games on their way to a Super Bowl,
03:09booked as an underdog in both.
03:11And yet they won outright more than likely for
03:14the sixth time in the last seven years.
03:16The AFC championship game will be played inside Arrowhead Stadium.
