00:00A team that was once 16-0 at home is now 0-3, a not-so-happy birthday for Jerry Jones after
00:11the Dallas Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions 47-9.
00:15The Cowboys only scored three field goals in three different quarters, thanks to kicker
00:19Brandon Aubrey, and they only converted three of 13 third downs.
00:23Then the Lions, on the other hand, well, they had a total of 492 yards of offense.
00:29That's four field goals and five touchdowns.
00:32Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said,
00:34"...We were beaten today.
00:36The facts are, they're further ahead of us right now.
00:38We aren't taking care of the ball, and we have to start there.
00:42Red zone and third downs were huge issues today."
00:45In the third quarter, Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson was bringing quarterback
00:49Dec Prescott down when he got injured.
00:52And Prescott says that he can recall back to when he had an injury of a similar magnitude.
00:56He said it was tough to watch.
00:58Having experienced it, I hated it for him.
01:01Hated every bit.
01:02I told him, keep his head up.
01:04It's part of the story.
01:05And he did it, going out on a sack.
01:08Hutchinson was then carted off the field and ruled out for the remainder of the game with
01:12a leg injury.
01:13Now, head coach Mike McCarthy says that it's never a bad time to have a bye week, but it
01:18is a good time for one for sure, considering the injuries.
01:23The break is a great opportunity to get back to the drawing board before heading out to
01:27San Francisco to play the 49ers in Week 8.
01:30The Cowboys won't be back here in AT&T Stadium for about a month when they take on the Eagles.
