00:00In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:10The Companions of the Cave.
00:12When Allah Almighty raised Jesus Christ,
00:16about 150 years later,
00:18some young men came.
00:21These young men were disillusioned with the Sikhs,
00:24fell into hatred and accepted the Oneness of God,
00:27and accepted the Christian religion.
00:29They were true and firm Christians.
00:32They were about to worship one God.
00:35And this thing gradually reached the king of the time.
00:39The name of this king was Takiyanus,
00:42who was a Roman.
00:43He was a very cruel and evil king.
00:47This king called these young men to his court
00:51so that he could know the situation.
00:53These young men came and recited the Kalima of Haqq.
00:57They recited the Kalima of Allah to the people.
01:00But the king did not like this.
01:03And the king gave them a few days to change their religion.
01:09Otherwise, they would be sentenced to death.
01:12When these young men heard this threat,
01:15they became very upset
01:17because they did not have the courage to fight this king.
01:22And neither could they continue the Christian teachings
01:25by living in this city.
01:27Otherwise, the Takiyanus king would have killed them.
01:31So they left the city and decided to run away somewhere.
01:36And they left the city trusting Allah.
01:40So much so that they hid in a cave in a mountain.
01:44And prayed to Allah,
01:46that O our Lord,
01:48give us mercy from yourself
01:51and make the path of success easy for us.
01:55And Allah accepted their prayer
01:58and made them sleep.
02:01So that they slept for 300 years.
02:04And these young men were Ashab-e-Kahaf.
02:07Ashab-e-Kahaf means The Pupil of Caves.
02:12Meaning, the people of the cave.
02:14As long as they slept,
02:16Allah kept making them twirl.
02:19Their dog was also on the edge of the cave,
02:22spreading its arms and legs.
02:24As Allah Almighty says,
02:27You think they are awake,
02:30although they were asleep.
02:32We ourselves made them twirl left and right.
02:36Their dog was also on its edge,
02:38spreading its arms and legs.
02:41If you wanted to go and see them,
02:43you would definitely stand upside down.
02:46And you would be terrified by their face.
02:49Meaning, if someone tried to look into the cave,
02:53Allah would put them in such a state
02:56that they would stand up again out of fear.
02:59Similarly, Allah Almighty kept Ashab-e-Kahaf
03:02asleep for 300 years.
03:05Finally, Allah Almighty woke them up
03:09to question each other.
03:11One said,
03:13Why did you sleep for so many days?
03:16They replied,
03:18One day or less than one day.
03:21One said,
03:22Allah Almighty has the knowledge of your existence.
03:26Now one of you take this silver
03:29and bring some pure food.
03:32I am very hungry.
03:34And go carefully
03:36so that no one knows.
03:38If these disbelievers overcome you,
03:41they will destroy you.
03:43They will then return you to their religion.
03:46And then you will never be successful.
03:50One of them went in search of food.
03:54When he reached the market,
03:56he saw everywhere
03:58that a God is being worshipped.
04:01So much so that people are reading
04:03the Kalima of Jesus Christ.
04:06And they are following his teachings.
04:09And everything has changed completely.
04:12Similarly,
04:13Ashab-e-Kahaf reached a shop
04:15to buy food.
04:17And in return for the food,
04:19he gave the silver coin to the shopkeeper,
04:22which was 300 years old.
04:24When the shopkeeper saw this coin,
04:27he doubted that this person
04:29had found an old treasure somewhere.
04:31Therefore,
04:32this shopkeeper handed the young man
04:34over to the soldiers
04:36so that questions
04:38could be asked about the treasure.
04:40The soldiers asked this young man,
04:42Where did you get the treasure from?
04:45This young man replied surprisingly,
04:48This coin is ours.
04:50We left here last evening.
04:53Is the king of this city Dakyanus?
04:56Hearing this,
04:57everyone started laughing
04:58and thought this young man was crazy
05:01that Dakyanus died hundreds of years ago.
05:04Finally,
05:05this young man was presented
05:07in front of the king of that time.
05:09The name of this king was Badrus.
05:11He was very pious and God-fearing.
05:14So this young man told
05:16his whole story to the king.
05:19The king and the courtiers
05:21were very surprised.
05:23Then they found out
05:25that this is the same young man
05:27about whom we had heard
05:29from our ancestors
05:31that he had hidden in the cave
05:33to save his faith.
05:35Gradually,
05:36this news spread throughout the city
05:38that the young men who had disappeared
05:40during the period of Dakyanus
05:42have now appeared.
05:44The king told this young man
05:46to take me to his companions.
05:49That young man took the king
05:51and went to his companions.
05:54While a large crowd with the king
05:56also went to see the companions.
06:00After reaching near the cave,
06:02this young man told the whole story
06:04to his companions
06:06who were waiting for him.
06:08And when these young men found out
06:10that they had been sleeping
06:12for such a long time,
06:14they saluted their religious brothers
06:17and thanked God
06:19that God considered us worthy of this.
06:22And then they went back to bed
06:24and God put them to sleep forever.
06:28Now two groups divided among the people.
06:30One said,
06:31close the mouth of the cave
06:33and leave them in their condition.
06:36God knows their matter better.
06:39While those who were angry
06:41about the matter of this nation,
06:43they said,
06:44we will build a mosque on their grave.
06:47Friends,
06:48the incident of Ashab-e-Kahf
06:50was a sign of God
06:52which God described in Surah Kahf.
06:55This incident occurred
06:57when sects were born among Christians.
07:00One says that the dead can never be alive
07:04and one says that the doomsday will never come.
07:07And God showed his sign
07:10and closed their mouths.
07:13No doubt God is capable of everything.
