00:00Congratulations on all Fargo's Emmy nominations.
00:02What does it mean to receive recognition this year for the show?
00:06Well, we're 10 years into this journey, and the fact that we got 15
00:11nominations is hugely meaningful
00:14in terms of the cultural relevance of the show.
00:17We managed to hold on to that
00:20that for the audience of being a show they look forward to seeing.
00:25Up next, you have Alien Earth.
00:27What can you tell us about where you are in the process with that right now?
00:31I'm editing right now,
00:33and I haven't seen all of them yet, but we're wrapped and
00:40you know, it's looking great.
00:41The cast is phenomenal.
00:44You can't go wrong with with some aliens.
00:46And it's yeah, I'm very happy with how it turned out.
00:50Alien Romulus used a lot of practical effects.
00:53What can you share about how much you leaned on practical effects
00:56versus, you know, VFX in the show?
01:01Mostly practical.
01:02I prefer that.
01:04And then, you know, obviously there's there's some CG,
01:08but but I always want to feel it in the space
01:12and have the actors reacting to real real things.
01:16So I had a guy in a rubber suit and, you know, all the creature effects
01:22and weta working for me.
01:24And, you know, it's it's so exciting.
01:27How long do you think it will be until you return to Fargo for another season?
01:32Well, it's not going to be right away because,
01:36you know, FX is very bullish on Alien.
01:39I think they'd love for me to go back to back with a couple of seasons
01:43to really get it launched.
01:45So probably after that.
01:47But I have I have some thoughts.
01:50I have some thoughts. I know what I'm doing.
01:53We can't wait to see it and can't wait to see Alien Earth.
01:55Thank you so much for being here tonight.
