Cockroaches can run up to three miles per hour, making them elusive pests. Moreover, they are highly adaptable when it comes to food. A female cockroach can produce up to 50 eggs at a time, and their offspring grow quickly, reaching adulthood in just a few months.  Surprisingly, cockroaches can hold their breath for up to 40 minutes, which helps them survive in various conditions, including underwater. Lastly, some species of cockroaches can glow in the dark.
