00:00 Welcome to Drex Park, I'm Vedant Johari and we are in Goa for TVS Motor Soul 2023 and
00:11 here we have a host of their motorcycles that started off the rallying and the racing in
00:18 India and TVS started racing in 1982 with their first model, the TVS 50 Moped.
00:25 Now this clocked 105 km/hr as you can see with the bent handlebars, the rear position
00:31 seat, everything is race spec so to get the proper aerodynamics to actually make most
00:36 of what you have.
00:37 After that we have the TVS Shogun over here, also another motorcycle that really redefined
00:43 motorcycling in India as this was a classic motorcycle and is still respected very highly
00:49 to this day.
00:50 Now after that over here we have the TVS N-Torque but a rally spec version.
00:56 As you can see the tyres are proper knob tyres and at the rear also we have knobby tyres
01:02 and this is in the proper TVS racing paint scheme and this is used in the National Motorcycle
01:08 Rally Championship and even in the two wheeler autocrosses.
01:11 Now what we have here is the TVS TR 300X and this is a completely rally spec dirt bike
01:19 and again it comes with the knobby tyres.
01:22 The TR 300X has the proper mark guard, the proper, exactly what you need on a rally motorcycle
01:29 with the single seat and the extended seat with the lifted suspension, higher ground
01:35 clearance and on my left also we have a completely rally spec motorcycle but this is the 450cc
01:43 version.
01:44 This is the 300cc but this is the 450cc.
01:47 As you can see the forks are redone, it's made to be much fatter, absorbing that much
01:50 more impact, being able to take that much more abuse on the track.
01:55 As these are proper rally spec motorcycles you do encounter a lot of bumps, lot of ditches,
02:00 lot of stones and the suspension has to be able to take all of that beating to give you
02:05 maximum performance out of this.
02:08 Now following this we have an absolute beauty over here, the 450 RTR and this a dark aspect
02:16 TVS motorcycle.
02:17 Now TVS in 2015 were the first Indian manufacturers to actually enter Dhaka and compete there
02:24 so this is what they took through all the stages, look at this beauty with these, it's
02:29 completely done up, it's called the 450 RTR and it does not look anything like the RTR
02:35 that we see nowadays.
02:36 If you come here, if you look at the dash over here, it has the proper navigational
02:41 symbols that you see on the Dhaka motorcycles and it comes again with the singular piece
02:47 and again a lifted suspension, higher ground clearance as Dhaka is one of the most brutal
02:54 rallies in the world, one of the most dangerous rallies claiming lives and a lot of accidents
02:59 happen.
03:00 The bikes really need to be the strongest that they could and they also need to be the
03:06 toughest that they could to compete there.
03:09 Now coming to the track motorcycles of TVS, so this is the first track spec motorcycle
03:14 that we've seen here of TVS and this is the RR 310, as you can see it has the proper race
03:19 fairings right from the front cowl all the way spanning to the sides and at the rear.
03:25 It also comes with a race seat without much cushioning because you really don't need cushioning
03:30 when you're riding on track and apart from that it comes with these rear set foot pegs
03:35 to have the proper posture of the motorcycle and also the tank that we have is flattened
03:40 and it has a slight groove over here for when you've tucked in and you need to place your
03:44 helmet on the tank.
03:45 After this, we have the latest RR 310 that competed in the 2023 TVS Wuhan Make Championship
03:53 and this motorcycle firstly sounds like an absolute monster and apart from that again
04:00 it has full race fairings right from the front spanning all the way to the sides and on top
04:06 over here we also have a proper race spec tank.
04:10 This is not what we see on the regular RR 310, also the fairings on both these motorcycles
04:14 are lightened, it's made to be much more efficient to get most out of the engine on track and
04:19 the lighter you are, the quicker you can go.
04:21 Now this is the first electric race bike in India.
04:26 This is the TVS Apache RTE, not the RTR but the RTE and this is fully electric.
04:33 These motorcycles are super quick on track and it's quicker than the Formula 1400s, the
04:39 Formula LGB around MMRT, that's the Madras Motor Racing Track and this also comes with
04:45 the full race spec fairings right from the front cowl to your sides spanning all the
04:50 way to the rear and it also comes with carbon fibre bits again to lighten the weight, to
04:56 make most of it and being an electric you don't have a clutch nor do you have a gear
05:00 lever, everything is controlled on the right side with your front brake and your rear brake.
05:05 So that is something riders need to get used to before they can get onto this motorcycle.
05:10 So let us know in the comment section down below what you think of the history of TVS
05:15 racing and of these motorcycles lined up over here.
05:18 My name is Vedant Johari, signing out.
