Apr 2, 2017 · Long time dirtbike rider first time poster. My son was given a CR85R with no spark. I believe I have properly tested the coil, not sure of any way to test the CDI but would like some information that anyone has or a service manual on how to properly test all the ignition components to rule out the defective one. Also bike was completely stock but I now have vforce3 reeds to put in, do I need to change jetting for just the reeds? (stock Keihin carb) thanks

Oct 10, 2021 · New to TT. Recently got my 12 yr old a ‘06 CR85R that was “spooging” bad. The seller said his kid road it on trails and didn’t like racing, so the low throttle probably contributed. I repacked the silencer, which was completely saturated, and changed the spark plug that was black. Seller said the tank had a 32:1 mix ratio.
