Feb 4, 2025 · C7 was supposed to be the mid-engine Corvette but was shelved because of the GM bankruptcy and why the C6 MY was extended. So the C7 we see today was sort of a interim Corvette while the mid-engine was brought back to life. I also believe we will see an interior update and a GS model coming shortly. The C9 is several years away.
