Jul 22, 2022 · I find it strange that the Baby Yoshis in those games look like their Super Mario World versions while modern Yoshi looks like his Yoshi Story version where he has like a small mouth under a large nose. Even stranger, his illustrated counterpart looks like a blend of classic Yoshi and modern Yoshi.

Feb 11, 2014 · yup, afaik that's what i gather. from what i understand, according to this story there would be three art styles: the alpha one (which i'm interested in) that i assume was more similar to SMW, the pre-rendered 3D a la DKC - which is seen in Yoshi's Island cutscenes and characters in Yoshi's Story, and the final cartoonish one in the completed game.
