Aug 1, 2023 · New default avatars have been introduced to popular gaming platform Roblox. The platform, which boasts over 200 million monthly active users, appears to be making the change to better support new animated heads. The new avatars have a more realistic humanoid shape.

On May 30, 2014, Roblox started rolling out new starting avatars to select users, and by late June, all players who signed up received these avatars. These avatars generate with the 3.0 bundles (Man and Woman) rather than 1.0, and for the first time they are given free clothing.
