Jul 30, 2022 · Having used both I think Vue is the better framework overall. Vue essentially takes the best of Angular and the best of React and mashes it together. Granted Angular has changed a lot since I used it last (Angular 2 and below) but as far as I know, the biggest benefit of Angular was 2 way binding between parent and child.

Apr 15, 2023 · a kinda more complex but also simpler way is to use the tanstack/vue-query library that handles the store and caching for you. (From my understanding vue-query and tanstack/vue-query are basically the same and will both be merged into tanstack/vue-query). It takes a little more learning as you have to learn the syntax of the new library.

In that way Vue 3 lost some of the ease of use that people loved with Vue 2. They have fallen behind with the newer compiler direction of JS libraries like Svelte, SolidJS, and Qwik. Vue Vapor was supposed to address the compiler issue and provide a VDOM-less solution like Solid but I haven't heard a word about it since they first mentioned it.

Mar 8, 2024 · I prefer Vue, but there's one aspect of React that makes it better - the ecosystem. It's simply much bigger. The Vue ecosystem's fragmentation, caused by the Vue 3 Composition API, has made this even more impactful. When it comes to the framework itself, Vue is, in my opinion, much more pleasant to work with. The same applies to the documentation.

And migrating to vue 3 brings us back a full circle with support of plugins etc. As vue 3 is re-engineered from the ground up, it also cannot work with a lot of vue 2 plugins which means vue 3 will take alot more time to get to be as supported as even vue 2. Both vue and angular has been rewritten from scratch. Vue even a couple of times.

That means a bunch of boring "plumbing" - connecting things to each other - is already done for you. And in that regard, angular/react/vue simply have a richer set of to choose from. But it can also have a compounding effect. For example, Vue has a browser plugin, which has a good UI for changing the current data on the page.

Jan 26, 2022 · Vue is far and away my favourite framework to work in ever since Vue 3 and I feel like it’s only missing a good SSR framework to essentially kill any reason for me to ever consider writing anything in react. My favourite stack is Vue 3 + Vite + TS + Pinia + Tailwind, it essentially covers everything you could possibly want to do front end wise.
