Skyscanner - safe to buy tickets??? - Rick Steves
Dec 13, 2012 · This is actually quite common with travel websites, not just with Skyscanner. Off the top of my head, I can think of seeing this regularly on Kayak and Orbitz – a good fare isn't really available once you start clicking through to purchase. It wastes a lot of time and, obviously, isn't all that helpful for purchasing IMHO.
Possible silly question about Skyscanner - Rick Steves
Jul 14, 2018 · I usually use Skyscanner only for intra-Europe flights, but am trying it out now for a trip next May. Whenever I call up details for a flight that requires a connection I see the notation "connect in airport," which seems odd--where else would a person access a connecting flight? Does this phrase have any meaning other than the obvious?
Was it a big mistake to buy an airline ticket from Skyscanner
Apr 9, 2022 · I've used Skyscanner in the past and it's been fine. People warn against booking through such sites, because it's easier to deal with a problem, if one arises, if you've booked directly with the airline. But that doesn't mean that the site is bad or a scam.

If your flights are cancelled, delayed or anything else happens to a flight that you buy via a 3rd party, you must be able to reach someone at the 3rd party, not the airline to resolve the prob

Flight home from Dubrovnik - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Feb 8, 2025 · Also suggest you forget Travelocity (which may not be all inclusive and will NOT be buying your ticket from the airline) and start playing with options in Google flights, while considering what you have been told above about Skyscanner for a single flight to leave Dubrovnik to another city for a night.
How soon to book a flight to Italy - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Jun 15, 2022 · Before Covid, some thought 2-6 months before the flight would yield the best deals. If the airlines ramp up their flights, that might become the rule of thumb again. Meanwhile, you might check Skyscanner.com and GoogleFlights.com for flights from Toronto and Montreal, if you’re on the east coast.
