May 27, 2020 · Not sure if this will be helpful, but there was My Cat From Hell episode about a scared and aggressive cat where the host mentioned that cats like high spaces that give them a position of control. I'm probably explaining it wrong, but the cat in the episode went from scared/aggressive and hiding/attacking feet around anyone who wasn't their ...
I am now terrified of my cat and idk what to do.... - Reddit
I agree, the issue is that my cat should already be desensitized to these types of loud noises, he has heard the Amber Alert many times before, which as I mentioned sounds alot like this SOS alarm that went off, on top of that my building regularly tests the fire alarm which is also very loud, and the younger family members used to scare him due to their criying, but he slowly got used …

Jan 10, 2023 · I recently adopted a 7 month old kitten. She has been adapting to my apartment and, in the past few days, has been willing to sleep on the bed with me rather than under the bed where she usually hides. 48+ hours since indoor cat was escaped, starting to panic ... - Reddit
My cat (15 year old) escaped for the first time ever a few weeks ago. He was gone for 4 days and we were worried like crazy. He was in hiding mode in our neighbours back yard the whole time. It’s unlikely for them to go further than 3 or 4 houses away unless they got scared/chased by another stray or wild animal.

Jun 9, 2023 · 4. You will have to take your cat out of its carrier to have the carrier go through an x-ray machine. If you can keep a leash handy (my cat was aggressive when scared) it really helped. I also requested a private ‘search’. This is in Canada so your experience may be different. 5. Have some soft food and water ready.
How to stop cat from hiding ? : r/CatAdvice - Reddit
Feb 25, 2021 · My cat never took to her cat tree either and only using the sisal scratching post on it so I guess it’s useful for that. I suspect she’s more of a ground dweller because she’s a terrible jumper. She’s a skittish cat too. Once my cat got more comfortable, I installed a window perch with a bird feeder right outside the window.

Jun 9, 2024 · My adopted cat was also extremely anxious, to the point of trembling and hiding in the bathroom closet all day and even forgoing food just because he was that scared. Anxiety supplements (calming treats, etc.) that you can get off the counter didn’t work.
